Eagles at Cowboys: Let It T.O., Let It T.O., Let It T.O.

To get you ready for Week 15, FanHouse is previewing all 16 NFL games. Here is your Philadelphia Eagles/Dallas Cowboys preview.

2007 Records:

Philadelphia Eagles: 5-8 (4th in NFC East)
Dallas Cowboys: 12-1 (NFC East Champions)

Last Week
Giants 16, Eagles 13
Cowboys 28, Lions 27.

Why We Care: When you put the Eagles and Cowboys on the field together, the name of Terrell Owens is on everyone's lips. Owens would love nothing more than to go off on his old team. T.O. is still in the smack talking news, except with former Cowboys receiver Keyshawn Johnson. Oh, and Donovan McNabb is (supposedly) back for this one. It's an NFC East thang, baby!

When the Eagles have the ball: Brian Westbrook is probably the most under-appreciated player in the NFL. Sure, he isn't the normal running back and the Eagles aren't the normal running team. However, Westbrook is the most important person on the field for Philly. Long story short: he needs to have a big game for the Eagles to win. Hmm. Dallas gave up their worst rush defense performance last week against the Lions and gave up three TDs on the ground. Maybe ... just maybe ... with a gimpy McNabb, Philly will decide to feed Westbrook the ball in any way possible.

When the Cowboys have the ball: Elite teams don't have to stray too far from their formula to win. Dallas will use Marion Barber and Julius Jones to pound the ball against the undersized Eagles D-line. Then, Tony Romo will find Owens as much as he can as T.O. will demand the damn ball. When that isn't there, Jason Witten and Patrick Crayton are ready to shine as well. Same thing every week. The only tweak here will be adjusting to Philly's aggressive packages and making sure Romo has a shot to make plays.

Oh, and I wanna see that Brian Dawkins vs Jason Witten matchup badly!

The Edge: The Cowboys have the NFL's biggest offensive line and will look to establish running dominance over the Eagles smaller defensive front. That will allow Dallas to control the ball, the clock and force Philly into run blitzes that could become susceptible to play action passes.
