Kudos to The Postmen for finding the video of the day, with the 1986 Los Angeles Rams singing a bizarre and somewhat frightening song called "Let's Ram It":
I really, really wish those 1980s football team videos had ended with the Super Bowl Shuffle.
I read elsewhere that "Stephen Jackson wants more hip-hop music played at the Dome."
Well, sorry, Stevie Baby. Hip-hop is NOT "music," any more than obscene graffiti is "literature."
Real music is made from actual SINGING in a clear, melodic voice. It is accompanied by actual INSTRUMENTS, such as keyboard, strings, brass and woodwind (preferably acoustic), in any combination.
I miss the time when baseball parks had organs. The National Anthem sounded best when John Kiley played it on the organ at Fenway Park. THAT is MUSIC. But to smear the name of "music" by associating it with "hip-hop" is a travesty.
