Give Ravens linebacker Bart Scott credit for his honesty, at least. Following Monday night's loss in Pittsburgh, Hines Ward accused Scott of threatening to kill him after this hit. A few days later, Scott didn't deny the charges.
"I threatened him," Scott said defiantly. "If I see him again, I'm going to threaten him again." [...] "I have no beef with Hines off the field. But pretty much, I've got a beef with everybody on the field. I just think he took some shots that he didn't have to, and I'm not even talking about my shot. I'm talking about the Ed Reed stuff. Here's the hit on Ed Reed that got Scott so lathered up, apparently. Ward is unconcerned, though; he's heard it all before. A lot. When Steelers' reporter Jim Wexell asked Ward about Scott's threat, the four-time Pro Bowler laughed:
"With mine, I think I was pulling up. I was letting up because I thought he [Parker] was going to run out of bounds. I should've just went for the cheap shot and hit him out of bounds. Then I wouldn't have had to worry about getting blindsided. That's fine, though. He's out there in safe land as a receiver, but I'll get an opportunity one day."
"Tell him to join the club ... [All defensive players] say [they will get revenge], but nothing ever comes of it. All I know is that Santonio (Holmes)is doing it now, Cedrick (Wilson) blew someone up on a punt return, and Nate (Washington) is looking to do it. Are these guys going to take out our whole team? No. They're worried about us during the game, not looking to kill us. They've all got their heads on a swivel and that means we've achieved our goal. I just love to see big, bad defensive players worrying about little old receivers."Wexell also asked Ward if Scott threatened him with a gun after the hit: "No, I said I asked him if he was going to use a gun and he said no, but that he was still going to kill me."
Nice.

Does Scott seriously not want Ward to hit Reed on that play? Reed is flying up the field to make a tackle, and the play was nowhere near over.

Scott is just embarrased of his performance on Monday, as all of the ravens should be. Did he slow down on his hit on a blindsided Big Ben last year? Take your lumps like a man, loser.
