It's vacation time for the New York football Giants, but that's the last thing on their minds. Only two days after a sloppy win in London against the now 0-8 Miami Dolphins, the Giants are focusing on their November 11th showdown with those dreaded Dallas Cowboys."We got a bye week coming up and then we got a big one," added guard Rich Seubert. "Everyone knows what we got coming up next. It seems like this year things are kind of falling our way. We just got to keep on rolling, we don't want to get off the horse, we just want to keep on going."Things certainly are falling the Giants way for a change, but that's bound to end soon. If history is any indication, then things are about to get quite rough for those New Yorkers. Under Tom Coughlin, the Giants, and Eli Manning specifically, have struggled immensely in the second half of the season. Only once, in 2005, have they ended a season with more than two wins over the final eight games.
But fear not, Giants fans. There's something different about this team. New York is notorious for playing down to their opponents, and while they did just that this past Sunday, they've continued to win games they should -- avoiding that huge upset which has defined their season each of the last three years. Something tells me the second half of this season will mimic more of 2005 than 2004 and 2006.

Doesn't anyone realize how many injuries the Giants had the second half of the last three seasons? One year we were signing linebackers off the playground to finish the season. Last year there was no Toomer, Strahan, Tuck,Emmons, Arington, Moss and Osi missed many games. This year we are healthy so we will see if this makes a difference. I certainly think it will.

Hope you don't think that the Giants will be playing "down" to the Cowboys level. Then they would still be looking up at them in the standings.

Hey Dan how do you get to express your opinion...you know little about football or the Giants!
Eli will have a big second half. I said all year -11-5...now maybe 12&4!

Nick Dee - Based on what? Suggesting the Giants play poorly in the second half under Tom Coughlin? Have you been paying attention at all for three years? They, and Manning specifically, DO struggle.
You may not like what I have to say, but you can't argue it either.
That said, I am a life-long Giants fan who has not missed a single game in 15 years. But you're right, I don't know Giants football at all.

Hey Dan....of course you know Giants football...just don't keep comparing what each Giant team has done over the last 3-4 years. You need to put your stats away ...as long as they stay healthy and the secondary doesn't collapse, they will be fine...One thing that I did see..is that they need (especially as the season progresses} is the blitzing...they have to stop being so obvious...even Miami read most of them and dumped to Chatman and the TE. Spagnulo needs to mix this defense up...Dallas will be studying the films....but...thank God they played like sht (weather) in London....the films won't give Phillips much to go by. I have to agree with Ron L..the Giants have suffered severe late season injuries especially last year...It killed them with the Frank Walkers and Dockery at the corners...with most all the LBs gone....I was at the Tenn game...what a mess...Jacobs mowed them down, but Mathias K didn't hold onto Vince 4th and 9 and the reserve tackling was embarassing. One last question to all you guys...Does anybody here know the reason the Giants come out throwing the football downfield in the second half everytime they have a fkn lead???someone please help me with this?????
