New England Patriots defense,
Patrick Crayton is not impressed with you. Following the Pats' 48-27 victory in Dallas last Sunday, Crayton, when asked if he woke up Monday morning thinking about how good New England was,
offered this:
"No, why would I say something like that?" Crayton said. "Offensively, they are the real deal. I'm not going to lie about that. Definitely, I can tell you, no, [the defense is] not. The only time they stopped us is when we had penalties. If that's stopping us, it is what it is. But they're definitely not the real deal."
When New England cornerback
Ellis Hobbs was asked about Crayton's comments, he busted out a "next question".
And then answered before the next question could be asked:
"Same story, man. We've heard it before. Whatever. That's why we have 60 minutes. You have 60 minutes to prove what you got out there, and bottom line, we won the game. We're worried about Week 7. It's over with. All the hype and all the hoopla, but like I said, at the end of the day you have to play the game between the white lines. The results are in, let's move on."
Wow, that has to be a new record for the most clichés in one answer. That said, he's right.
It it is what it is, blah blah blah. Or as linebacker
Rosevelt Colvin pithily put it: "That game is last week. We don't play the Cowboys again. Move on." Clearly, Colvin doesn't think Dallas will make it to the Super Bowl. Or maybe he just meant the regular season. One or the other.

I think the fact the Patriots' defense gave up 14 points to the Jets is a far more damning indictment of how "not the real deal" they are. Sorry, Jets' fans. :(

CRAYTON HAD A WHOPPING 46 YARDS AND THEIR BEST RUNNING BACK BARBER HAD 48 YARDS. I GUESS THAT MUST BE A GOOD GAME FOR THEM. THE PATRIOTS' THIRD STRING HAD THAT MANY YARDS. HE SHOULD BUY SOME CLASS FROM THE PATRIOTS.THE PATRIOTS NEVER BAD MOUTH ANY TEAM.

I'll give you that. Crayton could buy some class from the Patriots. You and your best r.b. couldn't total 100 yards against the Patriots. Stop crying sour grapes and man up. It's also funny to see T.O. talking to the press this week because he isn't scared like last week against the Patriots.

All we hear is how classless the pats are, and yet, week after week, big game after big game, the team that loses to the pats then badmouths them. It's almost predictable. And yet the pats, this team so many of you like to hate, NEVER has a bad word to say about any opponent, any time. And now,I hear the TO has even said, "They way THEY played, we should have done more." Oh really, TO, do you mean they sucked so bad that if they were GOOD, you would get 35 yards, instead of 36? Keep talking trash, players. It only makes the bear hungrier. LOL

NICE POST JOE. I ALSO WOULD LIKE CRAYTON AND THE REST OF THE CRY BABIES TO LOOK UP DEFENSIVE STATS ON ESPN. THE PATRIOTS ARE NUMBER TWO IN THE N.F.L. AND BEAT DALLAS IN ALL DEFENSIVE CATEGORIES.

All he did was tell the truth, Dallas scored 27 points so he is right they were not shut down. New England scored 48 points and he said they were very great on offense. So he told the truth.

Dallas scored 27 points on offense? No, 6 points were as a result of a fumble return. Another 3 points came after a very nice return by special teams.
The Pats defense could be credited with giving up as little as 17 points, on their own, or as much as 20.
Not perfect, but it's not bad, especially against a good offense like Dallas.
