Obviously that's not what all of them said, but it's what a few felt when talking to the
Boston Herald recently. We've already pointed out that there are some
obstacles for the Pats to go undefeated, and the '72 Dolphins seem to believe it's not just unlikely, but also
too early to begin such conversations:
"Without question you're the earliest to call," [Bob] Kuechenberg told the Herald. "You jumped it by six games. Talk to me in two months when we're in double digits, and then we'll make a little wager. If we make one now, I'm just taking your money."
...
"I've heard the discussions going on and I think it's pretty ludicrous," [Jim] Kiick said. "This is definitely the earliest this kind of talk has started up. I know New England is playing very well, but it's a long season. I can't imagine, as good as they're playing, that they can stay at this level."
Kiick went on to say that New England still has the Cowboys and Colts on the schedule, amongst others. As great as it would be to go undefeated, I have to question if that's something the Pats would even want to do. Meaning, if it means they have to play harder down the stretch rather than rest guys, would that be in their best interest? I'm not sure, but to use a typical athlete cliche, I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. For now, I agree with the codgers -- there's a long way to go.

Typical New England arrogance by the Boston Herald. And they wonder why people hate the Patriots.
You know, apart from the whole cheating thing.

if anything, the league is biased AGAINST the Patriots,,it is widely acknowledged most teams video tape so thats a crock,,,a patriots defensive lineman gets pushed into JP loseman and hits him in the leg and he gets fined,,Trent Gren admits he dove head first into a guy who was bigger than him becasue a low hit was the only way to take him out and we all feel bad for him beacuse he hurt his head,,you cry babies will see at the end of the season...I for one hope they lose a game so they dont have all the pressure going into the superbowl...dont worry, the patriots willonly dominate for another 8 or 9 years and your sucky team might have a chance soon

pats fans are d-bags, plain and simple. No one likes them outside of New England...and its not just cause they win. Colts win all the time and there is nowhere near the amount of hatred towards them as there is towards the Pats. Look you guys are a great team, we get it. Just don't look so suprised when someone breaks the news to you guys that no one likes you outside of the New England area. Theres reasons for that fellas..... bunch of barry bonds in that state, just dumbfounded on why everyone doesn't like them.......

I like the fact other fans hate the Pats--shows fear.
Us Pats fans appreciate the team and are enjoying the ride, which will continue as long as Belichick coaches, Pioli finds the players, and Kraft owns the team.
Translates to 2013.
Pats players play organized, disciplined, fundamentally sound, intelligent, team oriented unselfish football only complimentary and respectful of their weekly opponents.

Sooooo funny...someone comes into a blog and calls an entire fanbase a juvenile name, then proceeds to insult an entire REGION...and then says, Nobody likes you." Funny, I, for one, don't like immature yahoos who get so wrapped up in sports that they think they are hurting someone by calling their fans names, and thinking we should all be hurt when others don't like our team. I have been saying all along, it's okay not to like a team, just admit you don't like them because you are JEALOUS. I really don't think, if the Pats had the record of, let's say, DETROIT over the last six years, people would be invading blogs calling Lions fans names, and insulting the city. LOL. So all this arrogance and cheating talk, fine. I have had to endure, for years, the Cowboys annointing themselves "America's Team," even though I don't recall anyone actually voting for them. I hated them, and the Raiders, and then, later, the Colts, and Steelers. And I hated them because they were GOOD. There, I admit it. I don't think all their fans are d-bags, and I KNOW from experience that Pittsburgh and Oakland are not exactly vacation resorts. But that had nothing to do with whether I liked the team or not. I didn't like them because they were good. There, I said it. Now, admit it yourselves, and we can all move on.

Well joe, bil, jsharpe I have just watched the Dallas buffalo first half. Whoa I se why you guys are so respectful of this 5-0 team. Man they look great playing against and AFC team a 1-3 afc team at that.
Now should I start calling you all names because of your comments back at me when I earlier belittled the NFC compared to the AFC.
STop puting so much stock in that 5-0 record.
Anyone can be 5-0 with easy schedules.
Can't wait until Dec 9.

Hey Bill W. I never said the Cowboys were awesome and were the team to beat. I do recall Bill stating their secondary was questionable however. The game aint over and although the Cowboys are playing very sloppy, they're explosive and could certainly comeback and win. Which of course is besides the point. (the point of course is that you live a sheltered existence) There is no team, AFC or NFC that I think the Pats can't beat. I've said it many times, 16-0 is practically impossible, and any given sunday anything can happen. What I DO believe is that the Pats are superbowl bound. (And yes Bill W. they will cheat to get there, but like I said, you should just stop watching and caring cuz the Pats have the whole system rigged.)(By the way, did you talk to your guidance counselor about becoming a man-whore?)

Opps, forget the fantasy story, we're going to study word definitions instead.
I said "they're explosive and could certainly comeback". Could Bill W., could, didn't say would or will, but could.

Oh such confidence. Watching Dallas play I see why you are concerned about playing them. Could of! would of! should of!
But look at it this way, I'll actually be cheering the Pats next week.

Opps, lets add reading comprehension to that to do list huh?
I'm not saying I'm concerned about playing the Cowboys. Could, Would, Should are all words that WILL evoke a sense of possibility. But your doing good at least you trying.

Maybe you should learn comprehension jsharpe. Those words do not evoke a sense of possibility. They are generally used in hindsight, like " you should have carefully chosen your words on your last post"; "The patriots could have cheated their way to all those superbowls". No wonder you are so confused in your analysis of your up coming schedule.
Hey, hows your occupation going, getting ahead? LOL
