Forget a fancy introduction to this post; there's no need for it anymore. Every time the Giants play, they suffer a significant injury; it's that simple. So, really, how many times can I rehash the same old "how does this continue to happen" nonsense?This week, the unfortunate victim of the Giants injury curse was rookie wide receiver Steve Smith. Although the team originally referred to it as a "scapula bruise," Ralph Vacchiano of the Daily News just revealed that he actually suffered a fractured shoulder blade (scapula) and could miss significant time. However, and on the bright side, it may not be for the entire year, which has become a regular diagnosis for team doctors.
In addition to Smith, a few other Giants left the game with injuries. Here is a quick list:
Plaxico Burress - Re-injury of his right ankle.
Reggie Torbor - Elbow (left in a sling.)
Ahmad Bradshaw - Elbow (left in a sling.)
Adrian Awasom - Stinger (left in a sling and neck brace.)
Jared Lorenzen - Sprained left ankle.
Unreal.

Smith was and is a good draft choice and I am very happy with his production and think he will do well....but what is up with He and Moss???is it there size..? it seems like these 2 guys get hurt all the time...I was hoping for a Moss/Smith wr combo at least mid-way through the season....lots of speed....good moves but I don't think it will happen......yeah ur right jstoll.....go 08 draft!!!

I have been a NY Giant fan since 1960 and I am totally disgusted. This organization is a mirror of the classy one that existed years ago under George Young. Ernie A has put us back 3 to 5 years of getting back to being a force.
Lastly, our new GM cutting a washed up DE fine in half really set a good example for the other players. Then making him a CAPTAIN really set a good example.
The GIANTS Defense could not stop a High School Team. Straham is nothing but a big mouth spoiled professional player. A Pierce's action yesterday insulted me so much, I may start routing for the Jets.
Clean house, including SHOCKEY WHO PLAYS HARD but can not grow up.
