Remember Wade Wilson, the Cowboys quarterbacks coach who also tested positive for HGH? Yeah, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended him for five games because HGH makes you an unfairly awesome quarterbacks coach. Actually, Goodell suspended Wilson because HGH is a banned substance ... for players, coaches, ball boys, owners ... basically everybody on an NFL payroll. But with Goodell announcing Bill Belichick's punishment yesterday, Wilson's got some questions:
... Wilson said he intends to write a letter to the league office seeking an explanation for what he considers inconsistent enforcement of NFL policy. Wilson also said he might attempt to determine whether he can appeal his five-game suspension.Mr. Wilson, can't disagree with you, sir. And in case you missed it, in addition to five-game suspension, Wilson was fined $100,000, nearly a third of his salary. But here's the thing: he was taking HGH for his
"I would say there is definitely a double standard being applied here," Wilson said. "I don't want to be seen as a crybaby or as someone questioning the commissioner's decision, but I see some major inconsistencies here.
I don't think Belichick was illegally videotaping opponents for his health. And that $500,000 fine, that's approximately one-eighth Belichick's salary. If the point of a punishment is to serve as a deterrent, the fine is kind of pointless.
I eagerly await Goodell's response to Wilson's concerns.

Wade has a good point. If he is punished for taking HGH and Bill Belicheck gets fined for cheating on his adversary which is worse than taking Hulk Hogan vitamans then why leniency of cheating on a game and taking HGH?

Roger Goodell let Cheating Bill slide on the old "white boy get out of suspension free" deal. Even Michael Vick wasn't cheating in the games. I can't even imagine how Wade pissed him off so much.

Wade Wilson knowingly broke the league rules. He cheated, and everybody knows that cheating is wrong. It doesn't matter how much his offenses affected the outcome, the bottom line is that he broke the rules and therefore must be punished.
Wade Wilson is a cheat, and it brings his entire legacy as a coach into question. All you people defending this guy look SO RIDICULOUS.

pstar have you been smoking dope? He is a COACH??? Unless HGH has been shown to make people smarter.(and it hasn't) There is no way he should lose about a third of the season and a third of his pay and Belichick floats away clean.

This is sickening, it looks like Goodell is seriously one sided with his actions. People who are in the league mess up outside of it, they are cut half the season, or the whole season, or who knows how long (Vick), but we are talking about something that changes games. It's like the entire team is on steroids. Why not fine Vick or Jones half a million, they didn't do anything to change a single game. And I thought he was looking out for the NFL. I thought the justice system worries about crimes, and the NFL worries about the NFL. Goodell is already trash, and I'm disgusted in the difference he treats things. If someone wins a few bowls by cheating, they should be gone. They should never return. Teams pay millions and play all year, and someone else cheats their way out?
Well luckily Bellicheck pays out some chump change and they loose one of their 2 first rounders. Wow, and I forgot how pissed they were last year when Miami bought tapes of the previous week, and shut them out 21-0. I don't even really want to watch NE play anymore, this is honestly disgusting and disgraceful, and I can't trust the game or support this nothingness imposed on the team.

There is No comparison between Wilson and Belichick.
As Goodell mentioned in the interview with Costas, what Wilson did was a CRIMINAL. His reason for using HGH (to cure impotency) is BOGUS. Regardless of his reason, he was buying an ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE. Instead of complaining, Wilson should be lucky he is not going to jail.
