Although it's not set in stone that Michael Vick will spend time behind bars, former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Art Schlichter has decided to give him some advice anyway."I would advise Mike to go in with a lot of humility," Schlichter said. "I'd advise him to try to be like everyone else.Given the company Vick has decided to keep throughout his life, you can bet he's already heard this speech. However, if there is another person qualified to give his advice, it would certainly be Schlichter. Although the circumstances weren't quite the same, Schlichter's 10 years in prison are the closest thing Vick will have to relate to if and when those metal doors slam behind him.
"If you walk in there expecting to get special treatment from the inmates or the guards, you're going to be disappointed. They don't take kindly to that. What I tried to do was keep my mouth shut and get to know some people I wouldn't normally have had the chance to meet. I kept my head down most of the time."
Inmates have a different code of laws behind those walls. Gambling is one offence, probably overlooked by most inmates, whereas killing dogs for fun may be entirely different in the majority's eyes.
What Vick faces is something that most of us could never fathom, so he had better take all the advice he can get. Humility could be his best friend if he does eventually get sentenced to prison time.

Vick should donate 10 million dollars to PETA as a sign of good faith. Children all over the country would like to see Vick do something good for animals

Vick also has enough money to BUY some protection, and get that preferrential treatment he is so used to. Art didn't go into prison with multi millions, and a thug superstar reputation. Sadly, Vick may be more popular in prison than on the street. My only hope is there are some big, angry dog lovers in there that ask hum to play WIDE RECIEVER, if you know what I mean........The rules may be different in the joint, but "money changes everything".

Time in the joint just solidfies Vick's thug status.....I'm sure he will find God, because God always arrives after an arrest and conviction.....

Vick is going to federal prison which is nuch different from state prison, besides Vick is a world class athelete, I doubt that only a few would try to bother him anyway

Wherever he is deposited like the piece of fecal matter he is, I don't think that he will be received very well by the inmates, especially those that thought "he had it made" and just pissed it away. Oh, he'll hook up with some of them but not like he used to hook up with his "posse'". He himself will become "vick-timized" just like the dogs and his teamates were!

I'm sure some inmates will want to have a piece of Vick and I sure hope some do.
IF Vick wants to redeem himself, he should team up with the Humane Society and help them put an end to dog fighting. He said it was pretty common in his old neighborhood, then it would be a good place to start.

Michael Vick doesnt need to go to jail at all - and even if he did, are any of you naive enough to think prison inmates give a damn about PITBULLS? If anything, they'd want to take part in dogfighting themselves! And he doesnt need to give ONE CENT to PETA or the humane society! Why should he?
Dogfighting is a 500 million dollar business - you really think PETA can put a stop to it? Dont bet on it! The business of america is BUSINESS - MONEY always wins out! Why dont you naive children go picket slaughterhouses and try to get people to stop eating meat - ANOTHER futile endeavor?
