NASCAR driver and animal rights advocate Greg Biffle didn't hold back today when asked by the press what he thought of NFL player Michael Vick torturing dogs:"I just wish they'd put him in jail and be done with it.
"Just put him in prison and tell the general public, just give them all the details of what they do with those dogs. How they steal people's dogs out of their front yards and use them for bait dogs and let other dogs kill them. There's all the horrifying stories. You look at all the pictures on the Internet of the dogs, just maimed, mangled. It's horrible.
Biffle hopes the Vick case will call attention to the widespread problem of the "dog-fighting underworld":
"It goes on everywhere. He's not the only guy. It goes on in [Michigan] too. Maybe they'll use him as an example and maybe get some other people to think about whether they want to be in federal prison with him or not."
We can only hope.
In 2005, Biffle and his finacée, Nicole Lunders, co-founded The Greg Biffle Foundation to "create awareness and serve as advocates to improve the well-being of animals by engaging the power and passion of the motorsports industry." Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $100,000 to humane societies and animal shelters across the country.

I had wondered when I would hear Biffle's comments on this. And He didn't let me down. I agree with everything he is saying!

I think he should be thrown out of football and prosecuted to the letter of the law. Its an absolute disgrace what he has done to these poor defenseless animals. Shame on you. I hope they sentence you and throw away the key.

Biffle Did you flunk high school civics? If Vick is convicted then he deserves all that he gets. However didn't the Duke Lacross case teach you bozos anything. Innocent until PROVEN guilty. Don't ever sit on my jury. The system will work just fine without all of the media's mystic, crystal ball, mind reading rush to judgment!

This just sickens me that a person with this amount of talent and money can't see that this is just plain wrong! If you are into blood and guts go watch Ultimate Fighting. At least those people are making a choice to go into the ring. These poor dogs have no choice but to kill or be killed. I will no longer support this man in any way and will not watch him play regardless of the team he's on. Here is a perfect opportunity to make an example of this guy and help stop this cruelty.

Greg Biffle is entitled to his opinion. Greg this is the United States of America not Nazi Germany. I do not condone dog fighting in any way shape fashion or form but Michael Vick has a right for his side of the story to be heard in a court of law whether you like it or not.

I think Biffle is a little emotional after reading the sicking things Mike is accused of. I think the Falcons should fire Vick now. Not for dog fighting, because he has not been convicted yet, but for putting himself in this position. Yes, regardless of trial results Mike is guilty of hurting the Falcons.
Then if he is found guilty I think 6 years in jail is not enough. He should get atleast 30 years(a woman in my town just got 10 for shoplifting). Not just for dog fighting but for operating a criminal organization that operates off of illegal gaming and not paying taxes on illegal winnings. Again this is if he is found guilty. I believe he is but I also know I have not heard is side.
One other thing I would like to hear others thoughts on. If Mike did run this business where illegal gaming is one of the major reasons people do this, what are the chances he also was invovled in some NFL betting? Can someone who is the head of a criminal organization bet one one sport illegally but say no it would be wrong to bet on football?
I am just wondering what others thinks about this possibility. Also what are the chances that the Falcon gave him all that money without hiring someone to look in to his activities? I wondering how likely it is that they knew more then they are letting on. If so, should someone in the front office face charges? Please let me know what you think.

Yes... let's go through a long drawn out trial. First it will keep this scum bag out of training camp and will be in the news everytime one of his attorneys' as much as farts. And that is really the upside to the whole process; lest the public forget what a sorry excuse for a human this filth is.
And if he gets kicked out of football, loses his endorsement money, goes to prison and is the subject of constant ridicule for the rest of life then I think that would at least be a start for what he ought to have coming to him.
So Michael goodbye good life and hello Bubba and your new 8 x 12 concrete bachelor pad.

Who cares about Biffle's thoughts on the situation.
He is in NASCAR, Vick plays football.
Maybe we can see what more B list "athletes" (I've never heard of Biffle) think about this. It's like Ashton Kutcher telling people to vote for John Kerry.
And to BK: it's an indictment, and courts settle over 80% of trials with plea bargains (where you have to say in open court you are guilty).

Michael Vick is entitled to his day in court, but he also has already heard the verdict in the court of public opinion. That could prove worse than any prison time he may receive... Bully for you Greg Biffle!

ANY problem created that has adverse effects is EVERYBODY'S problem! It doesn't matter if you play football or drive a race car. I wish people would stop sticking up for this guy!! Yes, he deserves his day in court and I personally would like to see the book thrown at him. He obviously doesn't give a rat's derriere about what cruelty means or the consequences and ramifications of his selfish actions, only how to make more money. Sadly, in this high ticket, money hungry world where influences (and not to the better) abound, he'll most likely get by with only a "slap on the wrist". But, one can only hope!

I have never been a big Biffle fan UNTIL NOW! Way to go Greg Biffle. I also want to hear what Ryan Newman, Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr. think about that. They are all big on animals. Ryan Newman and his wife focus their foundation on animals as well.
Vick is SCUM!!!!

Spoonman - if you've never heard of Biffle, then click the freaking links and do some research (or just READ THE ARTICLE WRITTEN). He is an animal rights advocate with a charitable organization dedicated to rescuing animals. He's more educated on the topic of dog fighting than you are.
And for all that are all up in arms that Biffle is judging instead of a court, come on! When the media interviews anyone who isn't a lawyer or PR rep, it's purely for their opinion supposing guilt. In this case, Biffle is an athlete with a vested interest in animal welfare. If we stand around the water cooler and talk about it, it's with the supposition of guilt. A jury will do their job. If Vick is guilty, then everything Biffle said is spot on. Let the book be thrown hard at Vick for doing something so heinous.

surely anyone following this case has already taken a stand ( guilty or not guilty ) but bet your bottom dollar the FEDERAl GOVERNMENT wil not spend it's time on this unless they can prove their case--the embaressment of losing would be far too public. I have taken my stand--he IS guilty--born and raised in the area--you can take it to the bank these people did this and with the knowledge of MANY in the local enforcement aware ---There is no punishment harsh enough for ALL of those involved--including breeders-and those there for the "show"--Cruelty to animals cannot be tolerated--

I imagine we will hear from alot of the Nascar drivers. When they do interviews with them most of them have their pet dogs on their coaches with them. I know Tony Stewart, Greg Biffle and Kevin Harvick always have theirs. It's kind of funny to see these big racing guys having little teacup chihuahuas. I think it is adorable.

Okay, Okay..... I REALLY think this is being BLOWN out of sky for nothing. I'm a animal lover as well but this is really not caused for.....Can anybody tell me whats the difference between this situation and what happens to animals in the circus? We all know that animals in the circus get some of the same treatment. I guess it's different when a Black man with cornrolls doing it and the owner of the circus , which we all know more than likely is NOT BLACK and is makin all kinds of money..... but you don't SEE it that way?? I can SEE it and I'm NOT BLACK..... come on, if that's not hidden racism I don't know what is..... I take that back, it's not hidden..... it's in your FACE......
Is it that Atlanta is paying him too much da*n money? YA'll didn't want him in Ga anyways. I guess this is a good way to jack him up and get rid of him....Right?..... It's very Sad racism is STILL around. That goes to show you that YA'LL care for dogs more than you care for Human Life...... I'm sure Mike will have to deal with this ordeal over in his head but he'll be okay........... OH Yeah, don't they still have Cock fighting competitions???
