With that said, let's check out what's happening in Falcons land.Falcons sell naming rights to training camp: The Atlanta Falcons have officially sold the naming rights of their training camp to Russell Athletic. The specific name for their training camp has yet to be released, but as part of the four-year deal, Atlanta will also attach the companies name to their preseason camp. The deal is reportedly one of the Falcons top 10 partnerships in terms of income.
Brian Finneran out for the season: For the second year in a row, Brian Finneran will sit out due to injury. The wide receiver recently had surgery to repair his left ACL, the same injury he suffered last year.
Two Falcons play in World Bowl XV: Punter Adam Anderson and cornerback Brent Grimes are currently represented the Atlanta Falcons today in World Bowl XV. Their team, the Hamburg Sea Devils, are currently leading 37-28 early in the fourth quarter.
Falcons sign two free agents: The Atlanta Falcons have signed free agent linebacker Orlando Huff (Arizona) and undrafted rookie tight end George Cooper (Georgia Tech). Huff's contract is for one-year and the veteran minimum; details on Cooper's contract were not disclosed.
Todd McClure is expected to remain at certain weight: Falcons coach Bobby Petrino says he expects center Todd McClure to remain at a playing weight of 297-298 pounds. He claims that's where McClure "is best with his movement."
