Bengals running back Quincy Wilson was arrested this weekend in Huntington, WV. There isn't too much info being leaked out right now, except that it was for disorderly conduct and that he was released Sunday at 2:40pm after spending nearly 8 hours in the pokey.
According to Cincy NBC affliate WLWT, Wilson was arrested at a bar where a wedding party was being held. Also, the bride and the groom were among those who were pinched.
Okay, this one doesn't have the zing of a Chris Henry or Odell Thurman ... but this cat was really arrested. After two weekends of claims of assault that never transpired into anything, this one actually stuck. And, Wilson also was a member of the same West Virginia squad that housed Henry and Pac Man Jones, two players who are currently suspended by the NFL due to their off-the-field issues.
While Wilson's NFL career hasn't consisted of anything spectacular [just 2 yards rushing in his career], but he is remembered in West Virginia for "The Play" against Miami ... which is shown above.

It is very discouraging when the behavior of athletes who have such potential are willing to toss it all for a night of really bad behavior I assume they think is fun. What a waste!

I would wait to find out what happened before I jumped to any conclusions about "tossing it all for a night of bad behaviour." Who knows what happened. In fact, this article doesn't say, other than noting who was arrested. One could say the same about the bride and groom, that it is such a shame when I see "newly married couples just tossing everything away for a night of bad behaviour..lol
I think Sportz Assasin is actually excited that FINALLY, one of these things stuck, when he writes "Okay, this one doesn't have the zing of a Chris Henry or Odell Thurman ... but this cat was really arrested. After two weekends of claims of assault that never transpired into anything, this one actually stuck." (Yowza,..NOW we're cooking!!)...LMAO.

I was there at the club. I was a member of the wedding party. After we left out of the club every one that was still in their wedding clothes were targeted. Wilson had just left out of the club and had walked across the street to to the parking lot when the police grabbed him along with other friends and family. Please dont compare this incident to Pac Man's problems. If you were their witnessing this spectacle you would have been as shocked as i was.

Dante, what were they "targeting" him (them) for? The article says disorderly conduct. Leaves the impression he was being bellicose, or fighting, or something "disorderly". And the bride and groom too? Share some more with us if you please.

I say targeted because of the 13 to 14 people arrested, half of them belonged to the wedding party.
Just seems odd that out of all the people that were in the bar/club, that half of the arrested party would be from the same group. Right after the bride and groom was arrested the officers left the area with many patrons from the bar still just standing around in the same parking lot the wedding couple was apprehended in. For wilson, the cops came and chocked him down from behind and then arrested him. I dont know how disorderly you
can be when some one grabs you from behind. They say they told the wedding party to leave numerous times( wonder what counts as numerous or what they
consider not cooperating because every one was moving)but, not saying this is the case, if a group is dressed up and scattered around in the area, isnt there a chance that they could have been waiting on each other so they can leave together to walk back to the hotel, which was less than a block away

So the root of this incident was the wedding party might have ran late, police ask them to leave, unsatisfied that they left or were leaving quick enough police then came in and arrested them? For failing to leave (is this the disorderly conduct, failing to leave when asked)? Hmm,..if that's all this amounted to then I guess Sportz Assasin may find himself disappointed after all....lol

Well if what you said is true, I am doubtful Roger Goodall is going to have anything to act on as far as discipline or suspensions and fines go. Unless he wants to clean up late running wedding receptions as badly as he wants to clean up the NFL. Thanks for the update Dante!!! Props!!
