According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network (TV), the Buffalo Bills are interested in recently released safety Donovin Darius (Jacksonville). However, Schefter failed to indicate whether or not the Bills would actually make a run at Darius or if they were just browsing.Although Darius has missed significant time in each of the last two seasons, he is still considered one of the top strong safeties in the league; a position the Bills could use some help in. Additionally, the former Pro Bowler is only 31 years old and after sitting out 20 games over the last two seasons, probably has a lot left in the tank.
On the down side, Darius knows exactly how good he is when healthy. For that very reason, he'll most likely be looking for big number figures.

I can't see spending more on another saftey. We have two young good guys and another strong possability from the draft. If we spend any more it should be at DT or CB.

Yeah, why bother spending any money on a proven guy who could change the defense.
And besides, he's a Syracuse grad. Why make any extra effort to sign a defensive talent who went to an upstate school so the upstate fans can finally cheer for a familiar name!!
That way, the Bills will keep on sucking and all the SU fans upstate will keep hating them.

A position the Bills could use some help in? Seriously? A year after taking Donte Whitner with the #8 pick and starting him as a rookie? The Bills are loaded at safety.. this is garbage.
