As I feared, the Giants Jim Finn is finished for the season.New York placed their starting fullback on the season-ending injured reserve list earlier today; only two days after having "successful" surgery to repair a shoulder tear.
With Finn now out for the year, the Giants have precious few options at fullback. In fact, only one currently resides on their roster: Robert Douglas.
This obviously leaves the Giants in a bit of a bind. Do they go out and get another fullback? Do they eliminate the position all together? Or do they just deal with what they have and possibly use both Brandon Jacobs and Reuben Droughns as a fullback in different situations?
There are plenty of questions that need answering before next months training camp begins. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see how this works out.

Obviously this is a bad blow for the Giants, but at least they have time to figure out what the next best option is. And Droughns has played full back before and did a decent job. I wouldn't want him to be a full time full back, but a Jacobs and Droughns backfield would be monstrous. Hopefully they can find someone though.

As a new yorker and a die hard cowboys fan I say HAHAHAHAHAHAHA first tiki retired which was their best player since LT, and now their number 1 fullback is out that just makes the giants one step closer to losing the nfc east division. YESSSSSS.

Jason...were you afraid they would win the division if Finn was healthy?..They will trade for a fullback because I hope that they won't be foolish enough to use Droughns unless Bradshaw is that good, and then Jason...be afraid....very afraid.......we are very deep at all positions Jason...except fullback..and Jason, what are you doing reading the Giants blog if you are a Cowgirl fan??huh Jason....
