Giants' Burress Walks Out on $2,000 Tab

Ladies, if you're a bartender or waitress and Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress comes in for a drink, you had better pay attention to him. If you don't, the consequences are great.

According to a Page Six report in the New York Post, Burress spent Wednesday night with his entourage at The Bliss Club, a popular nightspot in Clifton, New Jersey. After about an hour and a half of pushing around a cocktail waitress that would not pay him the attention he was seeking, Burress up and left the club without paying his $2,000 tab or tipping the waitress who rebuffed him.

It seemed that Burress was upset Wednesday night because "no women were paying any attention to him." The worst offense? "He didn't even tip his cocktail waitress," said a source, who noted that Burress and his crew "were obviously on the prowl." At one point, said the witness, Plaxico "got up from his VIP table and approached a group of girls at the bar."

The report went on to say that he refused to sign autographs and basically acted like a child all night.

To his credit, the Giants released a statement confirming that Burress was at the club but denied him walking out without paying or approaching any females in a sexual manner.

These egotistical "sports stars" wouldn't exist without the people that watch the games, buy the sports merchandise, and live vicariously through their favorite teams. It will only change when people boycott professional sports and their advertisers (which means it will never change).
The people who should be receiving millions of dollars are the ones helping the sick, finding cures for disease, or risking their lives for freedom, rather than these athletically talented but morally and intellectually challenged "professionals".

PS. By the way, nganassim, I think that the sexual manor is now called the "Hoar House".

I relish the day Eli the walmart greeter throws a duck just a tad high and one the many NFC East headhunting safeties absolutely annihilates plax. This guy was a fraud in Pittsburgh and he's stealing paychecks in NY.

First of all there's a certain thing called exagerating!!! and second, "he seemed upset cause no women were paying attention to him".... what the hell is that? who are you to say what he's feeling and for what reason? Maybe Plax isn't the greatest guy but I don't care who you are, if you are some type of celebrity there will always be someone talking about you, overly exagerating any situation you are in and then there will be all these people ready to bad mouth you!

I think it's about time the owner's and league president's of all major sports should start to clean up the trash in they,re un-respected organizations! this is becoming a travesty. these outstanding athlete's,are nothing but street trash. talented yes!but just the same they are gang bangers, druggies, and thugs! when do we as the American public take a stand and say no more? I'm a sports maniac, but it's time I take a stand and boycott professional sports. I mean going to no games, buying no souvenirs, and although it's almost impossible try not to buy from any sponserships that are affiliated. I hope you do the same! Take out of the owner's and sponsors wallet they'll start to pay attention,and maybe they'll take out the trash!
