Are you sick of the Brett Favre trade story yet? Favre has released
a statement on the Packers' official web site saying he does not want to be traded:
I was frustrated a couple weeks back when Randy Moss was traded to New England. I never wanted to be traded and I don't want to be traded. I want to be in Green Bay. I want to finish my career as a Packer. Sometimes when I get frustrated I let my emotions get the better of me.
As I said in February when I announced that I was coming back, I am excited about the young talent on our team and the improvements we're going to see from one year to the next. I really enjoy the young guys I'm playing with. I'm working hard down in Mississippi right now, rehabbing, and I plan to be in the best shape of my life.
I look forward to playing with this team and seeing what we can do. I think we can be pretty good.
As statements from Hall of Fame quarterbacks go, "I think we can be pretty good" isn't quite up there with Joe Namath guaranteeing the Jets would win Super Bowl III, but for now, it will have to do. Favre isn't going anywhere. He's staying in Green Bay, he'll be their quarterback in 2007, and then some time in the spring of 2008 he'll make himself the center of media attention (as
he has so many times) when he calls another press conference to announce his future plans.

Yes I'm sick of the trade talk already. The Packers wouldn't trade Favre even if he threatened to sit out the year. The fans would burn Lambeau Field to the ground.

Brett Favre needs to sit down..That old pain pill popping junkie is way overdue to retire..He makes poor decisions, makes terrible throws, and is a hillbilly hooked on pain medication..
The faster he retires and takes the handcuffs off of the Packer Organization the better off they will be and get a real QB in there..

The Packers can stiil get Moss if they want him-he'll start taking plays off or bring his lazy ways to the Patriots and they'll cut him by the end of pre-season
Sorry Brett, I admire and appreciate everything you've done for the team, but Randy Moss was not the answer for getting you some offensive help

Brett simply got frustrated that he didn't get Randy Moss as his teammate and asked to be traded and now he denies saying it. Brett theme song should be "Never can say goodbye." With any luck the Packers could be Super Bowl bound if the ball bounces their way with their opponents either having bad days or lucky breaks from the Packers players making impossible plays to win games in the closing minutes of the game.

In 06 we were about three dropped balls away from the playoffs. I think Terrible Randy could have handled that. The Packers had the most dropped balls in the NFL.

As I was reading above in one statement, the packers frans would not only burn down Lambeau Stadium, after it burnt, they would turn it into mulch for the cows out in Packerland to chew on and s**t out!! c'mon fans out there, we all know that the packers existence revolves around what I still say is the strongest arm in the NFL "Big Brett"

Can Brett Farve please make up his mind? When you think about it the Packers don't have that much of a offense. Green is gone, Driver is getting older and Farve is old. I think that Farve would be better off with a different team that actually is a contender

2007 is going to be a disappointing and wasted year for the Green Bay Packers. Why the front office agreed to have Favre back for another year when they had no intention of adding to the offensive arsenal is a complete mystery to me. Thompson has been one of the worst things to happen to the Packers since Holmgren left for the Seahawks. Favre still has the game and the desire to be a top tier quarterback in this league ... if he has the weapons to work with. Nothing against Driver and Jennings, they're both solid receivers, but neither is a big-play guy. Moss would have been that player. He would have respected Favre, unlike the bottom-dweller he had throwing to him in Oakland. Instead of 2007 being a step in the right direction and possibly providing a last hurrah for Favre before he retires to his farm in Mississippi and the fans before they say goodbye to their Packer idol, we'll be soaked in misery and frustration as we suffer through consecutive losing seasons. Btw, Aaron Rodgers is NOT the quarterback of the future for this franchise!

I love Brett just as much as the next packer girl, he's a great QB, tough, reliable, humble (usually) and fun to watch (well the interceptions aren't fun :(). But I am disappointed with his behavior lately. To me, it just ain't cool to go around bad mouthing your team-or your team mates! It's not all about you Brett. The came is called football, not "Brett Wins". I'm glad you had your attitude adjustment, and quit your belly-achin' because the whole "I'm too good" thing just doesn't look good on ya. You're better than that so suck it up and show a little faith. That said- there's no one I'd rather see lead this bunch in 07. Give um hell boys!
