This certainly puts a new spin on that ESPN commercial with David Ortiz putting on Jorge Posada's Yankees cap. I knew the very idea of a New England sports icon wearing a Yankees hat would be repulsive to some Boston fans, but is it really front page news? I guess so. Tom Brady walked down the street while wearing a Yankees hat. That's the front-page story in today's Boston Herald. And there's a hint of scandal in the stunning news that he's done it before:
But avid Brady Bunchers know this isn't the first time No. 12 has committed the ultimate in homer heresy. We told you way back in 2003 that Tom was sporting a Pinstripes lid when our ever-vigilant spies spotted him fueling up at a Dunkin' Donuts in Foxboro. At the time, the excuse was that it was a gesture of solidarity with then-Yankees rookie Drew Henson, who, like Tom, is a former quarterback for the University of Michigan. Of course, that lame-o rationalization has gone by the boards now that Henson has ditched MLB for the NFL to play third-string quarterback for the Minnesota VikingsWith Leather says it in stronger language than I can, but seriously. It's just a hat. It's not like he made a profane rap song or anything.

Boston Fans get over it. He plays football not baseball. Maybe he liked the Yankees before he became a Patriot

I'm a Red Sox fan and this doesn't bother me at all. The Yankees are in last place & look old and pathetic in every way possible. (Then again, firing their Strength and Conditioning Coach will make a HUGE difference...)
Now if he had a Devil Rays cap on, THAT would be a problem...

They always said Brady was a winner, that's why he likes the Yankees. The Yankees may be down right now, but the season is FAR from over. We will see who on top in September when it counts. Let the Red Sox fans have their fun now, it never lasts for long.

He-They are beyond hot! I say too bad for Bridget. She should have thought about being alone when she was hiding her pills and trying to trap a man who was over her already. She is the sad one here. Tom is a Yankees fan. Love him even more. Believe me, Tom is a God in NE and this is no big deal. Just something they will joke about come training camp and at the Superbowl-when he wins his 4th!!!

# 6..... Yes, we RED SOX are having our fun now and have been since they came back from a 3 game deficit to WHIP SOME YANKEE ASS! Doesn't matter how many more world series the Yankees win, they'll NEVER be able to top that! By the way, WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THEY WON A SERIES? HMMMMMMM
#4......Classic morons? Gee, seeing as you have no class by making a comment like that I'm guessing you're a Yankee fan. And just like the Yankee team this year YOU SUCK! You sound a bit cranky...Perhaps you need to get laid properly! By the way, I was born and raised in Mass., but live in Florida now. Once a Red Sox fan, always a fan NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE! You see, it's called being LOYAL to your team, something Yankee fans should learn!

I can answer that the Yankees won their last world series in 2000 then they won in 1999.1998,1996,1978,1977,1962,1961,1958,1956,1953,1952,1951,1950,1949,1947,1943,1941,1939,1938,1937,1936,1932,1928,1927,1923, I think thats all of them, don't get me wrong I'm not a Yankees fan nor am I red sox fan what I am is sick of people who hold on to a grudge for way to long and lets face it. 26 world Series wins is a hell of alot more than Boston's 6 and it has been almost 3 years since they won their last World Series. So let it go.

It's ok you poor little small minded Boston fans. I know it's been hard watching the Yankees whoop ass for, Gosh it's been so many years I've lost track. How many Yankee Championships 24. It'll take Boston 500 years to catch up. And what a stud Manning was last year when he spanked Brady and the Pats on the way to his just deserved Ring. Now you poor little Boston fans go get some warm milk and cookies and then have mommy tuck you in for night, night.
Signed your daddies Peyton, and A-Rod

This is news? This is causing an uproar?
This "issue" exists only in the minds of the media. It's a damn hat! Who cares what it says?
With all the "frenzy" surrounding Britney, Paris, Lindsay, and now Tom's hat, it is obvious the entertainment media has way too much time on their hands.
And the comments by Sox AND Yankee fans have virtually nothing to do with the matter at hand. They have all used the subject to boast (in a juvenile "Hey, we're the best!" style) about their team.
IT IS A DAMN HAT! MOVE ON!
