Stuart Scott: Pacman Jones Is Better Than Don Imus

We already knew that ESPN's Stuart Scott has some odd opinions about the Don Imus-"nappy-headed hos" controversy. Last month Scott said on ESPN Radio that sometimes when men call women "hos," they mean it affectionately, and then he went back on the radio a couple days later to backtrack -- kind of.

But now Scott has said something very strange. Both Joe Sports Fan and Council of the Gees have noted an odd comment attributed to Scott in ESPN the Magazine regarding Imus and Tennessee Titans cornerback Pacman Jones.

"I'll take Pacman's indiscretions over those of Imus."

Let's make sure we're clear about what the "indiscretions" of Imus and Jones are. Imus had a radio show on which he often made offensive, racist jokes. The last of his comments was calling the Rutgers women's basketball team "nappy-headed hos."

Jones is accused of multiple violent crimes, the latest of which was starting a fight in a strip club that resulted in a shooting in which a man was paralyzed.

Would Stuart Scott care to explain to the paralyzed man, Tommy Urbanski, how Pacman Jones is better than Don Imus?

He dosen't have to explain as we live in a society where we have Black awareness month, Hispaic Heritage month, Asian month this mohtn now.All of these groups have thier own segragated chamber's of commerce,churches,markets,politcal groups and lobbyist, the list goes on , and it is all perfectly legal.

However if you are white and claim pride in your race at all,make the same jokes or use the same language that they do freely,send your child to school with anything that resembles a Christian symbol(Buhdist or Is lamic is ok) , then you are breaking the law and a racist.

Do you think the hispanics may one day have a rally in Mexico to protest the treatment they recieve? That is ofcourse where they are from , and they get treated a lot worse there and paid much less there right? Why is it then they can come here, take American jobs and burden our system with welfare and taxes to pay fo it, but yet rally here only and never in the country that has sent them packing wich is ofcourse Mexico there home?

where will it stop? This is a perfect example of the monster our politicians have created.

I agree with CrazyDaddy.net. In no way was his comment meant as a racial comment, L. Sieberth. Don Imus got fired for making a comment about a different race then of his own. But, Rev. Al Sharpton can make comments close to Imus' comment and not get fired and accuse other people of it. Hipocracy is what I think of when I think of Sharpton. Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson should take a lesson from what they are supposed to be teaching...aka:turn the other cheak. The Rutgers women's basketball team would be better reverends then Sharpton and Jackson.

He should be fired. Favorably comparing conduct that ends up in the abuse of women and a bouncer getting paralyzed and Imus saying something stupid is about as racist and stupid as it gets. Stuart's as cool as the yellow spot on his bedsheet.
