Wright was best known as "the guy Nick Saban made cry at practice" and Vick was best known for being Ron Mexico's younger brother (among other things). Now, three days after taking one wide receiver in the draft, Vick is out of a job.
Given his quote above, the timing seems odd. Especially when you consider the depth chart, in addition to Ted Ginn, includes Marty Booker, Chris Chambers and Derek Hagan. I'm not saying Vick deserves to be ahead of any of these players, but every team needs a Nos. 4 and 5 option.
So, where does Vick end up? My guess is New England. The Pats are trying to corner the market on wide receivers, even the ones with some baggage.

Vick could have been another Marlon Brisco... Remember him? The QB turned WR that threw the ball every so often.. Vick could have been another slash type weapon. An X-factor if you will, where teams just don't know how to prepare for him... Let's hope our Defense is up to the task, because I'm sure we will be facing him. Too much talent just to cut. I think Cam jumped the gun on this one. And I was just about to make me his Jersey too... Damn Cam

I think that Marcus has a lot of talent at QB He turned the Hookies team around just like Michael did. All he needs is a chance to prove himself, everyone makes mistakes or has made mistakes and just didn't get caught. If given the right opportunity he could be a defense worse nighmare
