According to Nikki Finke of "Deadline Hollywood Daily," Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart has fired Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Leinart had only been with the company for a year.CAA is considered by many to be one of the most powerful talent and literary agencies in America. They currently represent other major NFL talents like Eli Manning, Shaun Alexander, Tony Gonzalez and LaDainian Tomlinson to name a few. Their primary objective is to secure an athlete (or TV/move persona's) solid endorsement deals, but they did much more for Leinart. CAA also handled (in part) Leinart's football contract, licensing and public appearances.
But all that is in the rear view-mirror now. After nearly a month of rumors, Leinart has finally moved on.
"I first heard a rumor there was trouble in their marketing relationship early this month, but at the time I was assured by sources close to Leinart that he was still in the CAA fold," Finke wrote. You know the saying; "business is business." Apparently Matt thinks his business will be better handled elsewhere.
