Jets Barrett and Barton Join McCareins on Trade Block

According to a report by the Sporting News, the Jets are considering trading linebacker Eric Barton and cornerback David Barrett on draft day. In addition to those two, the Jets are also looking to trade wide receiver Justin McCareins for at least a fourth round draft pick.

While none of the three carry any great value, the Jets may be able to package them and their first round pick to move up. They have an eye on some of the first round cornerbacks but realize most, if not all, will be gone by pick 25.

It's almost a certainty that McCareins would command the biggest return and would likely be the centerpiece of a potential first round swap. There is a good chance that Darrelle Revis could be available at pick number 20, someone the Jets would love to draft. With the Giants possibly wanting to trade down and their need for a wide receiver, they could be an ideal trade partner. I may be reaching a bit, but it's just a thought.
