The Arizona Cardinals went free agent hunting yesterday and bagged three defensive players; cornerback Ralph Brown (Cleveland), defensive tackle Joe Tafoya (Seattle) and defensive end Rodney Bailey (Pittsburgh). Pending a strong offseason showing, all three were added for depth.Brown, the most experienced of the bunch, spent last year in Cleveland where he collected 36 tackles and defended eight passes. Prior to joining the Browns he spent two years with the Vikings and the first four years of his career with the Giants.
Tafora is a utility man of sorts. He can play both defensive tackle and defensive end. Last year in Seattle he spend most of the time playing on the end where he collected 12 tackles and recovered a fumble.
Bailey is a rarely used defensive end who has been in the NFL since 2001. Last year with the Steelers he saw limited action in 12 games and collecting six tackles and defended one pass.
