The Giants interest in Jay Fiedler has become an annual thing. Each of the last two offseasons they've had a bit of interest in him but nothing ever materialized. Maybe the third time will be a charm. According to KFFL, citing John Murphy of Yahoo Sports, the Giants will meet with the free agent quarterback in the near future.John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports unrestricted free-agent QB Jay Fiedler (Buccaneers) will work out for the New York Giants, according to his agent, Brian Levy. One thing the Giants have been lacking in recent years was an experienced veteran quarterback to tutor Eli Manning. Instead they've had guys like Jared Lorenzen and Tim Hasselbeck behind him; neither have seen the field more than Eli.
Fiedler is familiar with Giants Stadium, the pressures of New York and the NFL. If they could finally lock him up, it'd be a very solid and very smart move.
