Huh. According to Kansas City quarterback Trent Green's agent, he has only spoken to the Miami Dolphins about his client, even though the Lions and Browns have expressed interest. Barry Jackson writes in Friday's Miami Herald that "the Dolphins ... have remained intent on waiting out the Green situation instead of making a bid for quarterback David Carr..."
Why are the Dolphins so interested in Green and not Carr? I ask because according to Football Outsiders, Green ranked 22nd overall in quarterback efficiency last season while Carr ranked 26th. Carr also sported a completion rate of 69 percent (Green completed 61 percent of his passes), and he's nine years younger.
On one level I understand why Miami might pursue Green: he only has one or two good seasons left, and if the team drafted their quarterback of the future this April, there wouldn't be a QB controversy down the road. That might not be the case with Carr, who is only 26 years old and probably isn't ready to assume clipboard duty after being the
Whatever the motivation, it may not much matter: the Chiefs are -- inexplicably -- seeking a second-round pick for Green. This is ridiculous on any number of levels and the Dolphins might find it easier to sign Carr (or whoever). Whichever QB ends up in Miami, the club really needs to find the long-term answer. And if that means trading up to grab Brady Quinn, then, well, it might be worth it.

It's the other way around. Carr was the first pick in '02 and Harrington was the 3rd...
I hate the way Trent is being treated in this situation he is very classy, besides we have a young quarterback who needs grooming. It would be better if he were the understudy of Trent.
