I wasn't planning to post yet another Peyton Manning-Saturday Night Live clip, but I've heard so many people talking about this that I had to mention it. The below sketch isn't particularly funny (I guess it's supposed to be a parody of 300), but it does prove conclusively that you don't need a muscular upper body to be an NFL quarterback:
Seriously, the guy has no pecs, no abs, no deltoids, no nothing. I've seen 9-year-olds with more definition than him. Maybe that means we shouldn't be quite so impressed with Brady Quinn's physique.

Shouldn't that make us even more impressed with Quinn?
i dont think hitting the weights is something that is required for qbs... but its good cause it shows they have discipline and a regiment they follow and they take care of themselves...
so should anyone be impressed by brady quinns beach workouts for his qb skills....probably not...
but ppl should be impressed that he has a good work ethic....going to the gym, practcing.....I think thats a reason ppl think he may be an immediate starter
Peyton Manning may not have the upper body of Hulk Hogan but he is the brains of Colonel Matthews in the movie "The Brain" dircted by Gerald Oury.
I saw a picture of Peyton taken from TV a few years ago where he had very definite pecs and abs, so I was kind of surprised to see the "300" sketch and all that definition gone. He still has great legs, though!
Did you see the basketball skit? In it you can clearly see he has big arms and they are pretty well defined, especially his triceps.
It seems pretty obvious that he doesn't waste time building up his pecs since they are pretty much useless for what he does and would just be for show.
It is also obvious he is a pretty strong guy regardless if he is "ripped" or not in areas.
