I imagine after reading that headline half of you are saying "huh? who?" while the other half are asking "are you kidding me?" Amazingly and truthfully, I am not kidding you. The Jets really have signed defensive end Andre Wadsworth.

Wadsworth has been out of the NFL for seven years now after retiring due to chronic knee problems. Coming out of college he was projected to be the "next best thing." He was selected third overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 1998 and got off to a solid rookie start. Unfortunately it was all down hill from there as he began to have knee issues the following season.

In three short injury filled seasons, Wadsworth collected 96 tackles, eight sacks, one interception and six passes defended. There is literally no telling what, if anything, he can bring to the table in the '07-'08 season. He's been on the shelf a long time and his knee could still be an issue.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
