It sure has been a busy month for the Giants Eli Manning. First his contract was "bought-back" earning him an additional $5 million and that was followed up with a marriage proposal to longtime girlfriend Abby McGrew. So how did the star quarterback propose? In the same way he lives his life and plays football; a non-flashy, low-key, quiet kind of way.
"It was really low-key - it happened at home at a very unexpected moment," says a source. "It was so Eli - casual, no-frills, so in his nature."Although the action itself wasn't flashy, the ring apparently was. But you know the saying, you can't put a price tag on love -- and I'm sure that extra $5 million didn't hurt. Either way, McGrew said yes and Eli will now be preparing for married life.
I hope for his sake he has some good lawyers and she signs a well-written prenup. The last thing another New York Giants star needs is a public divorce filled with mud slinging and an empty wallet. All jokes aside, I wish the two well.
And by the way, his girlfriend is not who you might think.

Thank GOD Eli got engaged. Gives everyone a breather from all those free agent signings the Giants have been racking up.

Eli Manning has not won the Super Bowl yet for the Giants. No doubt the football experts (typists) and fans will push the team to get rid of him as fast as possible. They have eaten so much fast food in NYC their vision of reality is....unreal. The idiots forget that football is a TEAM sport...and that includes the coaches...and the owners. If Manning ever helps them get to the Super Bowl, with all the whining in that city, it will be a incredible. If Indianapolis was like NYC the Colts would still be bouncing in the cellar.
