Dog In Jonathan Babineaux's Care Died of Massive Head Injury

The story of Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux and his girlfriend's dog is quite disturbing. The dog, a pit bull mix named Kilo, died of a massive head injury, and the accounts suggest that Babineaux killed the animal after a fight with his girlfriend.

Gwinnett County Police said officers were dispatched Sunday evening to the Animal Emergency Center, where the staff told them that 24-year-old Blair Anderson had arrived with a pit bull mix that was dead upon arrival.

Police said Anderson told them she and Babineaux, 25, had argued at their home. She said she went to the movies, and upon returning found Kilo, her year-and-a-half old dog, in "severe physical distress."

Police say Babineaux gave them a story that was inconsistent with the injuries Kilo suffered. Babineaux was released on a $2,300 bond.

If he did this,he should be locked up and kicked out of the NFL. Period. Whether it's an animal or a person,it's murder. I hope the dog died quickly. This is an awful story.

Atlanta Falcons executives and NFL executives, I hope you're reading this. If Jonathan Babineaux is found guilty of committing this heinous crime he should be banished from the NFL. And Mr. Babineaux if you're reading this...you deserve to hang from a lamp pole if you killed that dog. You're a punk.

Correlation does not equal causation.

I agree that what Babineaux allegedly did is heinous-I used to own a pit myself and it was the best dog I ever had- but if Leonard Little is still in the league, then I can't see a lifetime ban coming Jonathan's way anytime soon.

If he did this to that poor dog he should suffering hugh consquences, such as jail, fined and most of all KICKED OUT OF THE NFL. What kind of physco does something to a poor defenseless animal. And if this stemmed from an arguement with his girlfriend can you imagine what he'd do to her? I guess the next time he gets mad it will lead to something worse. He needs to suffer and not get a slap on the wrist because of who he is or what he does. Actually, why don't they cut your N*** off!!!!

I d take a bat to his head, i m an animal lover and i d hunt down ppl who hurt defenseless animals, if an animal cannot defend itself, who will? Thats where i come in. Lets all group together and rally for the dogs and cats who need our help.

If this is true, I think he should be tied up, and raw meat stapled to his groin area and let a couple very hungry pit bulls loose to enjoy the feast and then just let him bleed out after kicking him in the head with steel toe boots about 50 times. I HATE animal abusers.

If this man is gulity he deserves prison. He does not deserves to play football or get off with a fine. He deserves nothing less then prison and my sincere wish for him in a prison cell would be that someone beats this man into a coma, or worse. Only a low life scummy coward would beat an innocent helpless dog to death. If he is guilty, I hope he rots in jail. If his girlfriend stays with him, she is not too bright and just as guilty for this dog's death as he is.

Just look at the photo of him....looks like a mug shot. This man is a criminal, very violent and dangerous. People who abuse and kill animals are 90% more likely to kill and abuse people. Remember Dommer? He was found with all those animal remains. If this woman stays with him she is a fool. She will be the next one killed.

While it's disgusting what he did to the dog, I'm really concerned for his girlfriend. If she's forgiven him and they make nice, she probably doesn't know that she's in danger. She's had her warning, but will she heed it?
