Marshall Faulk vs. Craig Ferguson

You know, watching Marshall Faulk here only reaffirms my opinion that he should just get it over with and retire already. Seeing as how I don't get the NFL Network, I've never seen how Faulk is on camera, and I have to say he's pretty good. He's funny, he saved the immortally unfunny Craig Ferguson from utter disaster, which is an accomplishment. Instead of being face-meltingly unentertaining, as usual, Ferguson came off as just the lamest man to grace a late-night talk show (Carson Daly gets reprieve).

It looks as if Faulk is now leaning towards retirement, which conflicts with reports all through the season that he wanted to return. It's for the best. Steven Jackson is capable of handling the load -- you hear me, Rams front brass? No need to bring in Faulk, Dominic Rhodes, or anyone else to take carries away from my fantasy team's best player -- and I have a feeling the sporting life has passed Faulk's aging body by.

But, again, at least he's got something to fall back on. Forget that stiff Tiki Barber -- Faulk is smooooooooth as silk in front of a television camera.
