If Willis McGahee had his way, he'd move the Bills to Toronto. In a recent interview with, ahem, Penthouse, the Bills running back was asked about the possibility of Toronto receiving an NFL expansion franchise someday.
"That would be a good situation. Toronto is a beautiful place. But if they're going to put a team there, they should just bring the Buffalo Bills to Toronto. Case closed."
Needless to say, those comments didn't go over well here in Western New York. Look, Toronto is a great city, on par with any in the world. Someday I hope the NFL puts an expansion team in Toronto, a city that is more deserving of a franchise, than say, Los Angeles. But to have your star player say the franchise should leave Buffalo? Why, Willis? What has Buffalo done to deserve not having a team?
McGahee may not be aware of this, but there already is a football team in Toronto. They are called the Argos. How about it, Willis? You and Ricky Williams would make quite a 1-2 punch in the backfield.

What an ass. That's what happens when you draft the idiots at the "U."

He's got one year left on his contract - you wonder if he said this to perhaps get out of town quicker?

I heard about this a couple days ago. As a Torontonian I wouldn't want the Bills to move to Toronto, not because there's a CFL team here already but because I could never live with myself knowing that my city took away a team that means so much to a city and community the way the Bills have meant to Buffalo.
I'm sure Willis said what he did in order to get out of town sooner rather then later which is a shame as I think he's a good fit in Jauron's system but if he wants to leave then so be it.

McGahee is a thoroughly overrated running back who isn't any better than his backup, Anthony Thomas. The Bills could easily replace him with a mid-round draft selection.
Watch him play sometime. He is afraid to take a hit and lacks speed. He refuses to block. I couldn't stand him even before he made these comments.

If it wasn't for the pool of talent at the "U" as well as the great state of Florida (how do you spell National Champs in some many ways like FSU, Florida, Miami....?) then McGahee woudn't have been taken seriously. Who really cares if the Bills move? Most of the U.S. doesn't know where Buffalo is anyway. Toronto deserves a better team. Let them buy a real franchise somewhere else.

Its a shame that it WAS the Bills that took a first round chance on him after he tore his knee up. Buffalo fans also supported him. Short-term memory or just another selfish spoiled athlete?

Very distasteful comment, but again, he's from the "U". I wouldn't mind seeing a franchise in Toronto or elsewhere in Canada, but don't move the Bills there. You're just asking for a border war. 1812 all over again.
As for Miami and the "U", it's a real shame that hurricane Katrina took out a nice city like New Orleans.. a shithole like Miami would have been a much better target, and less missed. City of scumbags.

Hey Battaglia, why would you say Los Angeles is not deserving of a team?
Is it because we won't tax the hell out of our citizens to pay for a stadium so that some god awful billionaire owner can get even richer?
Are we bad people because we said no to the likes of AL Davis and Georgia Frontierre?
Should we sale our collective soul to the Bidwell's or Tom Benson's of the world?
Lakers games-sold out, Dodgers games- sold out,Angels games- sold out, USC football games- sold out.
And, why would you think we would even want the Bills?
Ask Jerry Buss and the O'Malley's how Los Angeles worked out for them, jackass!

Hey Ende, nice unqualified shot at Miami. What, may I ask, wonderful city are you from ?
Keep taking shots at the "U" and we will keep putting great talents into the NFL. How many great NFL players come from YOUR college?

Why wouldn't McGahee want to play in a DOME in Toronto instead of a freezebox like Wilson stadium?

mcgahee is right. Buffalo's a dump. Nothing to do here. Toronto is a much more deserving city. Are these the same buffalo fans that supported mcgahee during the season when he was playing great? now that he states his opinion, u all of a sudden hate the guy...

I have to wonder something about the article in Penthouse. It's well-known that editors have the final say over content, as opposed to the interviewee. It's possible that lines were cut out of the interview to save space for advertisements...so I wonder if Willis said something more than we've seen...something more that doesn't make what he said sound so bad...food for thought, anyway. Of course, the fact he has yet to defend his comments or anything doesn't bode well for him. As far as other comments, I'll ignore the stupidity coming from Mark E. Not everyone is a grade school dropout

What you talkin 'bout Willis?
Hundreds of thousands of life-long Buffalo Bills fans probably cringed when McGahee made that statement. He IS entitled to his personal opinion - but not in the media! Jeeze, this guy has been a Buffalo Bill for a couple of years and a lot of the fans have been around for decades. But HE wants the team to move to Toronto? That's gratitude for making him a first round choice even though he was injured and no other team would touch him. We make him a millionaire kid and he advocates the removal of the team from the area - nice. Get your head on straight Willis. We know you're not a politician but jeeze at least support the fans the same way most of them have supported you.

Yeah cant blame the guy Buffalo is a pretty crappy place to live in. There is nothing to do and yes Toronto would be a much better city to have an NFL team.

He was drafted for his football skills, not his analytic ability. If the draft only included players who are thoughtful speakers, he would have gone undrafted.
