Accodinrg to an article written in the
USA Today, NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus is taking a page out of the game show 'Press Your Luck' and is looking to get running back Frank Gore, big money and no whammys. Rosenhaus and camp are seeking a contract for Frank Gore that makes Gore among the top-three backs in the league. The 49ers on the other hand are believed to see Gore being compensated along the lines of the top 10 backs. Gore's contract is set to expire after the 2007 season and both parties are hoping that a deal can be reached before the beginning of the season.
"It's a priority," Nolan said of a new contract for Gore. "It was talked about since before Frank started to show up on all of your radar screens because of what we knew about Frank."

There are two ways to look at this.
1) Frank Gore lead the charge to bring the 49ers back to respectability and he should get the accolades. LT in San Diego is likely to suffer the Madden video game cover curse and will probably not play much next season. This will give Gore a solid chance to turn some heads and possibly lead the league in rushing next season. Possible but it's an uphill acheivement. To this end I agree with the 49ers office and compensate Gore to within the top ten of the league. The top three is a little high for someone who hasn't really done anything yet- 8-8 is respectable only if your a laughing stock previously.
2) Drew Rosenhaus is a parasite. He is the principle reason TO has been with three teams in four seasons. Rosenhaus is the reason Keyshawn Johnson was dismissed from Tampa Bay in such a humiliating manner. And now its happening again with Gore. Rosenhaus should be FORBIDDEN to represent atheletes on behalf of the NFL players union, Players INC. I am serious! Rosenhaus is a vampire who convinces players to act spoiled to get paid (for Rosenhaus) and ultimately get traded or dissmissed from the team because of the lockeroom disruption this selfishness instigates. If Gore follows this path this will be the result, mark my words- this will end badly for the 49ers who will lose a good player to greed, it will end badly for Frank Gore who will gain public scrutiny for the "betrayl", and the only winner in the situation will be Drew Rosenhaus when he collects his twenty percent and gets none the fingerpointing.
Beware the parasite agent Drew Rosenhaus!

I would pay gore according to what he did for the team this past year. but that is is only first time starting and should see how it goes next year. his agent is a waste for all players. do not go waste millions of dollars at this point until we see how much better he gest as the years go on. but face it it is only year in the nfl. give him a three year deal worth about the same as any top 10 or 15 player in the nfl at his postition. then see how he moves forward from that point.

Hmmmm
I think Frank justneeds to get an honest and frank discussion with 49r management with the agent present.
If the new management is as good as they are reported to be and Frank is as much as a team player he says he is, they should work it out.
Of course I also believe in Santa Clause!
