Ron Burgundy Interviews Bill Belichick

In an "exclusive interview", Ron Burgundy interviews Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Burgundy, who works for San Diego's Channel 4 News, discusses the enormity of this weekend's Patriots-Chargers matchup ("This story is one of the most remarkable things ever to happen to San Diego ... or even the world..."), explains how the city got its name ("... discovered by the Germans in 1904..."), offers advice on menswear ("There's only one thing a man can do when he's suffering from a spiritual and existential funk: buy a new suit..."), and talks about his new workout regimen ("Veronica and I are trying this new fad called 'jogging.' I believe it's 'jogging' or 'yogging' -- it might be a soft 'j'. I'm not sure, but apparently you just run ... for an extended period of time...")

Okay, this was kind of a let down, but I like the idea. Next time, maybe Burgundy can ask some other -- tougher -- questions:

  • What route do you use to take your partner to Pleasure Town?
  • In preparation for Pleasure Town, what cologne do you go with? London Gentleman, or ... Blackbeard's Delight?
  • How do you feel about smelly pirate hookers?

Yes, this would make the interview infinitely better.

(Update: Ron Burgundy also interviewed Tom Brady.)
