Looks like if
"It's a big decision, but I'm waiting until after the game to finalize that," Peterson told the Tribune.
Sooner fans remember April 5, 2006, when Peterson spoke early about entering the NFL draft:
"I wouldn't say that," Peterson said Wednesday, addressing the issue for the first time. "Anything can happen. Injuries or whatever - God's will they don't. "I'm not worried about that. I'm focused on this season and making a run back to the Big 12 championship and hopefully a chance for the national championship." And beyond that? "I could see myself being here," Peterson said.
However, that's before Peterson's season ending collarbone injury in a win over Iowa State in October.
After the Fiesta Bowl, Sooner Nation and the respective NFL bottom feeder fans, can expect a likely announcement on Tuesday, January 9th. As previously noted, I fully expect the Houston Texans to select Adrian Peterson at 5th selection. However, never rule out a 2007 return.

I may be an OU alumni but I am realistic. After the last 2 injury plagued seasons he has to make the jump to the NFL or his reputation will be that he is injury-plagued. Right now he can come back in the bowl game and look good against Boise State.
Peterson is the next Eric Dickerson, upright and with explosive speed. If he continues to get hurt his speed will be affected and he doesn't have the fancy moves of a Barry Sanders and will get tackled, remember Earl Campbell started out real good but then after injuries was a 2 or 3 yard a carry back, no burst left.

Peterson needs a full season at top form and in the absence of injuries that bench him for long periods. He will always be a target for tacklers out to cripple him.

AD is the man. I think he should stat his senior year and play and make every one shut up about the injuries. He runs so hard that he is going to get banged up. This is football that happens. He would get that Heisman though and a shot at the National Championship again. AP would help him from betting as banged up and his stock would go out of the roof in the NFL draft. Would be #1 pick hands down.

I will not be surprised or disappointed either way, we will get to see him play football one level or another. I do know that he has made more decisions in his young life than many of us will ever do in a life time. He has been under the media pressure to make a decision and I find it very mature of him to hold off his annoucement. He needs this time because regardless of his decision he is the one who must live with it, we will just talk about it. HUGE San Diego AD Fan. Go Sooners!

look im not saying this because im a horns fan but because its obvious. he has to go pro this year. think about it hes been hurt this year last year and had a nagging ankle or something like that his first year. if he comes back odds are he'll get hurt again. but what if its worse this time he could break a leg an arm or gods will it wont he could get paralyzed. he has to make the jump get that guaranteed portion of his contract and hope he doesnt get hurt in the nfl
