Man, that Rivers has some stamina. That headline isn't even a joke, that really happened. Chargers center Nick Hardwick went into the shower, bent over, and Phil Rivers took off his shirt, sauntered over, eyeballed Hardwick's masculine hips, and stood behind him ... not to engage in the love that dare not speak its name, but rather to practice snapping the ball in rainy conditions.Usually, teams do this by putting the football into a bucket of water. But it's Phil Rivers' attention to detail and willingness to risk countless cheap gay jokes that sets him apart. "What the heck. We thought it would be fun," Rivers said. "We got off 15 good ones."
Hardwick went into the shower with his helmet and cleats on. Rivers, perhaps expecting a totally different kind of encounter, took the snaps wearing only a pair of shorts. That's probably the exact reason why Hardwick decided to go full-uniform, just in case Phil got any ideas. I'm thinking that Hardwick may have even asked the equipment manager for a male chastity belt.

The only image I see of Philip Rivers(beasides laughing his ass off at the Giamts right now) is when he threw a hissy fit in the game against the Chiefs when he was talking to the ref's and then crossed his arms like an 8 year old pouting.

It's not the snaps that worries me.......it's when Hardwick turned around to talk into the mike that makes me wonder....

Ya think maybe it's the reason the Chargers are 12 and 2, not wanting to jinx the Bolts but this team is the best we have all seen in perhaps most of the Chargers history.... looking great and hoping to get down the rosd to Miami... GO CHARGERS GO RIVERS AND COMPANY

Some of you guys are pretty sick, but predictable with your inuendoes. I say whatever it takes to simulate raining conditions and to improve play. Phillip needs to keep reminding himself, too, not to shoot himself or team in the foot by forcing anything - patience in the passing game and give the ball to LT to run, run, run!!! Good luck in the playoffs guys!

I bet they will remember the drill when they drilled eachother in the butt in the shower. Not only do the Chargers cheat with steroids they surf the hershey highway. I guess thats all you can expect from the Wales Vagina.

Why was this story even told? It's not funny. It's sad that someone considers it newsworthy. It's sad that any of you consider it funny. What's even more sad is that some of you think the Chargers stand of chance of making it to show. Ok...I get it now. The whole Hershey Highway, bending over in the showers thing...it's California!!! I guess some of those San Francisco people have migrated down South. I have a question. Is Ben Gay? Is Marvin Gaye?

What happens in the locker room should stay in the locker room or shower or whatever. Maybe if Fouts and company practiced in a freezer they would of beaten Cincinnati..ok maybe not.

Not a bad idea, but still...I agree with joker...why didn't they just turn the sprinklers on and practice on the field? Whatever works, I suppose. But I sense a giant "Martyball" run-run-pass-punt panicked offenseive scheme coming up in the playoffs, because Rivers is in a downward spiral, and that's just going to make Marty more nervous. He hasn't won a post season game since 1993. LT IS having a great year, and to me, it all adds up to a patented MARTYBALL postseason meltdown, where he gets uber conservative, and will only trust LT to win the games for him. That will be a big mistake, as Marty already proved in week 4 against the Ravens. But that's Marty's pattern, and the fact that LT is so great, and right now, at least, showers or no showers, Rivers is shaky. Time will tell.
GO RAVENS!!!

rivers = downward spiral? what, during his 9 GAME WIN STREAK??? get a clue... did you even watch what he did in the waning moments of the game up IN seattle? rivers will put up 40+ points at home this week and will have the proper momentum to begin the playoffs WITH that homefield adv after the bye-week.
the chargers dynasty has begun!
