For every loss, it's hard to accentuate any positives. So, like any other pissed-off fan, I'm going to rip on the Chiefs for the negatives. There were a few glaring goats of the game. Let's start from the top-down:
- Gunther Cunningham: Phil alluded to this already. Gunther Cunningham must have taken a break over the past 10 days. It is absolutely beyond me that you don't attack a defense with minus a running game. Where were the blitzes? Where were the decoy coverages? You have a quarterback who hasn't seen a snap probably since he was partying on his college campus. The gameplan was lousy, unimaginative, predictable. Gunther Cunningham, you were the goat of the game: baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
- Kris Wilson: There is absolutely zero... ZERO excuse for allowing a ball thud off your hands on 2nd and 4. Wilson would've had a first down and then some. Instead, the Chiefs ended up punting in overtime and, well, we know how that turned out
- Greg Wesley: Also absolutely no excuse for not wrapping up and tackling. ZERO. baaaa!
- The officials: sorry, I have never been a guy that pins the blame on the officials. Honestly, I don't think they lost the Chiefs the game. There were too many other bigger reasons why the Chiefs lost the game. Look, I can understand if a ref blows a call. I can understand when a ref reviews a call and can't find enough evidence to overturn a call. What I cannot tolerate is when officials are so arrogant to absolutely refuse to send a call to the booth. There isn't a shadow of a doubt that Gonzalez put the ball out of bounds before the game ended. There was even possible evidence that the whistle blew before the clock stopped. That would have set the Chiefs up for a makeable 57-yard field goal. It would have been a crapshoot for Tynes to bury a 57-yarder in those kind of conditions (even if it was with the wind), but at least it would have given the Chiefs that chance. Unfortunately, due to the referees' arrogance, we'll never know
The entire defense, really, deserves to be baaaaaaaaa-randed for their outlandishly bad performance, but this is my short-list of people who aren't on my Christmas list right now.

All the chiefs priblems lead directly back to Trent gGeen. I agree that defensive calls are also bad, but im tired of hearing how great Green is when all his stats have come from throwing to his te and backs. His interception and fumble took the air out of the chiefs and kept them from adding to their lead. You could see the momentum shift after that. I say we should have stuck with Huard and we would still be in the play-off hunt. Just look at the qb rating.

Sorry, but that's ridiculous. Trent forced the INT, but Huard was just as prone to fumbling when the pocket breaks down as Trent. That blame falls on Kyle Turley, who allowed his guy to manhandle him. But to blame Green for losing this game is ludicrous.

I do not want to point at any one person, but in my eyes
whoever the chief player was that got called for the
" taunting " called started the nonreversable slide to
defeat. It roused the browns, and the crowd. You could
"feel" the momentum swing on this call. I dont know the coaches point of view about this penalty, but there is no room for this on any team in the NFL period.i can except a personal foul over this adolescent tactic.especially a team in the play off hunt

By the way, in case you didn't realize it, Huard relied more on Gonzalez than Green did, and Kennison had a 100-yard day.

Why the Chiefs will not make the playoffs this year...and will go 7-9 next year.
1. We have no quarterback. We will have no one to back him up. Trent's throws are in slow motion. I close my eyes.
2. We have no offensive tackles.
3. We have no defensive tackles.
4. Our inside linebacker sucks. Yes, that's right, Kawika Mitchell sucks. "He's so improved" Bullshit. It's the most important position in Cover 2. He has to be able to defend the pass. Where were the Browns throwing all game? He would also lead the league in sacks if he didn't whiff on the QB each time he was sent on a blitz. Sure he makes tackles, because they run right at him!
5. Greg Wesley sucks. He always has. When your under help sucks (Kawika Mitchell) and they pick on you too, you're bound to get a couple of interceptions every once in a while. Also, big hits aren't big tackles.
6. Larry Johnson. He won't be here in a few years. He'll free agent to a city with less white people.
Now, after listing all of these people, do you feel the draft will replace any of them next year. We are officially cap cash strapped with the addition of a WORTHLESS Ty Law.
Get used to losing. We'll be losing for a long while.

Are you people serious? How can you honestly sit here and write that Crap. Trent Green is one of the Top Five QBs in the league. Your comments must be coming from anywhere but a Statistical analysis. How many QB's throw for 4,000 yards the last four seasons? coming in second to Peyton Manning is not so bad. I am assuming the people who wrote the above about Trent don't watch the games and or are not real Fans. You make me sick.

Wow...spoken like an honest Chiefs fan. I myself am sick and tired of hearing about Trent Green's stats. Yes 4000 yards is awesome, but where did that get us? It's time for a change both on offence and defense. I would rather see what our future holds with Brodie Croyle as our QB. We need a revamp on our wide receivers. What has 5'8 Dante Hall done this year as a wide receiver or punt returner? Our offensive line will suck now that Will Sheilds is retiring. John Welbourn hasn't played b/c of his steroid suspension this year. Kyle Turley...is pathetic and gets man handled all day long. Kevin Sampson has been hurt all year and who knows why.
I'm surprised Chief fans haven't turned on Larry Johnson. This is the 2nd time he has opened his mouth and said something stupid about Kansas City or the coaching staff. Larry, just shut your mouth and play ball.
