Is Chad Johnson a Man of His Word or a Loudmouth Liar?

Prior to the game between the Bengals and the Falcons, Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson was so confident his team would win that he said he would shave his head if they didn't. However, two days after the Falcons won the game 29-27, the blonde Mohawk is still in place, which begs the question: Is Chad Johnson going to back out on his bet?

"If he was a man of his word, he'd be cutting it. If not, you will see the Mohawk," Falcons corner back DeAngelo Hall told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution after Sunday's game. Hall was the focus of Johnson's pre-game boasting, and he referred to him as "DeAngelo Fall." Now, all is quiet in Chad Land. No predictions, no promises, no jabs and, most of all, no clippers.

Most everyone seems to agree that Johnson is an entertaining player, and his pre-game talking is all in good fun, but if he does not keep his word and shave his Mohawk, he'll show everyone that he's just a little baby with a big mouth, but no honor.

Messages left for the Bengals' public relations office were unreturned as of this writing.

Although CJ has talent, he seems to be nothing but a media grabber. It makes me sick to my stomach to listen to this immature individual. He is an embarrasment to his team, fans, and city. To tim,..I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of Chad Johnson. Consider that (1) Chad never calls out his team or coaches, he just challenges himself to play well (2) Everyone he REALLY talks trash to are personal friends of his (like Hall, and Steve Smith) like YOUR buddies who give it back and forth to each other on the phone every week. D'Angelo Hall would tell you that! (3) Chad is just doing stand-up, he's not serious. It's tongue-in-cheek humor. He is winking as he says it. I do wish he would tone it down too, but he is really just being a prankster. Check out the current SI Cover article on him and you will understand why he is just having fun. It just happens that the media covers it because its funny. If you were famous, your smack talking rounds with YOUR buddies would be interesting as well. It is not intended in the way you are perceiving it. For that reason, the fans and his team mates LOVE Chad. They know no one is as dedicated to winning as Chad. Hell, the guy sleeps two nights a week at the stadium watching film and working out at night. For that matter, this year he has been open all over the field. His struggles have more to do with Palmer's struggles. In any event,...don't like him. We in Cincy will keep him all the same!!

I think the important word here is but. See, that means I'm not calling him out, BUT, instead saying that he will be a punk-ass bustah if he doesn't follow through. I also said "he's entertaining player, and his pre-game talking is all in good fun." So, next time don't be such A Dick and READ before you call someone out!!)

I thought he jumped the gun calling Chad out as well, but I didn't get into stereotyping, cracking on his momma, and so on. Really makes you sound like an ass dude!!

Can't you simply disagree with someone (him or I) without deteriorating to 3rd grade playground insults? (that was the last time I heard that lip from my zipper crack)..LMAO!
