This may be getting out of hand now. It's certainly been an entertaining week for those who like verbal punches to be thrown. First, former Cowboy and current ESPN analyst, and I use that term loosely, called Giants running back Tiki Barber a quitter for wanting to retire at the end of the season. Then, Tiki shot back, calling Irvin an idiot and a blanket journalist (someone may need to explain to Irvin what that means). Now, Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress has joined the party, voicing a few choice comments aimed in the direction of everyone's favorite wide receiver.
During the fourth quarter of Monday night's Giants/Cowboys game, Dallas receiver Terrell Owens appeared to slip while attempting to make a catch. That's not how Burress sees it, as he was quoted as saying that Owens "took a dive" and implied that he feared an impending hit by Giants safety Gibril Wilson. Burress went on to say that T.O. was being a "coward". Those are strong words which are likely to fuel an already heated exchange of derogatory comments.
The latest chapter in the book of verbal bashing is sure to intensify the next meeting between the Giants and Cowboys, to be held at Giants Stadium on December 3. It would be out of character for Owens to allow someone to call him out and not issues a rely, so stand by for an updated version of this saga.

I am a huge Giants fan, but I think that this team has too much to say, especially after winning a game or 2. Please shut-up and play football. All we fans care about is the team winning, not all of this yapping back and forth like little biatches. Do your talking on the field please.

After seeing the play live and subsequent replays, it never entered my mind that T.O. took a dive, but after looking at it again from a different angle it does appear as though he heard footsteps and conveniently slipped to the turf. he would have been hammered. But seeing how he dropped that easy 4th down catch maybe he did slip...it wasn't his night.

Uh, like Plaxico Burress has any sense at all??? Why do they print crap like this? Terrell Owens has Hall of Fame numbers. Who's Plaxico Burress to say this about someone that he can't begin to compare himself to? If T.O. is a coward, then Burress is a girl!!

Plaxico Burress has to be one of the biggest idiots in professional sports. I've listen to this moron conduct interviews and he speaks with all the intelligence of someone with a third grade education. Granted, I'm not exactly the biggest T.O. fan in the world, but what exactly has Burress accomplished? As far as I'm concern, he epitomizes the term "dumb jock." Just shut-up and do your job man.

I'm a Giant Fan, but wasn't Plaxico criticized for the same thing when he was a Steeler? TO certainly isn't worth the $$ he is getting paid when he drops balls as consistently as he has done this year, but I would want TO over Glassjaw Burress in a steelcage match any day! Go hit the Gym Plaxico and leave the reporting to Tiki.

Up until now I enjoyed watching Plexico play. T.O. slipped, nothing more. Plexico should know not to poke at a caged lion, so watch out next time the Cowboys play the Giants. Also, It appears Mr. Sormani, who wrote this story is somewhat anti Dallas. Please Mr. Sormani, if your going to bash a team/player at least make sure your article is proof read (Or do you need someone to tell you what that means.?)

Wow this is just incredible. Plaxico is finally making a play or 2 and he is opening his mouth. The TD in philly wasnt that great, when you are a foot taller and have a 2 foot reach over your defender with a ball in the air, you should make the grab, which he did. That was a bad call on defense by Jimmy Johnson, or a bad job of getting to manning by the eagle blitz. Catch #2 in dallas on Monday was a great grab, but he got lucky that Roy tripped over the umpire, else he would have not been able to get up from the hit.
On the other hand, TO "diving" to avoid a hit by Wilson, thats just funny. TO is one of a few receivers in the NFL known to not be afraid to up the middle, he makes a living doing that. I dont think weve forgotten that TO made a catch in the end zone which 3 guys converging on him in Green Bay and still held on, "NUFF SAID." TO also did drop the ball, but in his defense, thats not what gave the game away, and the ball may have been a little behind him, but he should have caught it in that situation.
Can't wait till sunday for the carolina game, 2 great receivers, and I definitely cant wait until Dec. 3, when Plaxico's career will probably come to an end when Roy Williams breaks his ass in half.

So sitting at work looking at the lastest NFL news I see the whole Plax calling out T.O. thing and I wonder what gives Plax the right to call out T.O. I did alittle research on both of the players career numbers and this is what I came up with. Plax receiving yards-5,802, Tds-33. T.O. receiving yards-10910, Tds-106. So may have the argument that T.O. has also played more games than Plax has so I took the research a bit further. Plax has played in 92 games giving him an average of 63 yds/game and 0.36 Tds/game. T.O. has played in 148 games giving him an average of 73 yds/game and 0.71 tds/game. With these facts T.O. averages 10 more yards a game than Plax and the big stat almost DOUBLING Plax's Td production in a game. So with this in mind Plax has no where in his right mind to say T.O. is a coward until he starts putting up the same or better numbers than T.O. Any arguments throw them at me

Plexico is the man. It's about time someone called TO out. This is awesome for the game to build anticipation and the rivalry. How bout the big tuna is a traitor. I respect the mans coaching abilities but once a giant and now a cowboy. Absolutely a traitor. Take a picture and write it down Bill is a traitor. There needs to be more smack talkin in pro sports and still be able to shake hands at the end of the game.

WHO CARES WHAT THESE GUYS HAVE TO SAY THE NFL IS GETTING TO BE LIKE PROFESIONAL WRESTLING WITH THESE CHARACTERS WHATS NEXT RED SMOKE AND SOME RED GUY EATING WORMS AT THE 50 YARD LINE? IT IS HIGH TIME PLAYERS LOOK AT WHAT THEY DO. THEY ARE GIFTED ATHLETES, BUT IF ANYONE KNOWS IT DOES NOT LAST FOREVER THEY SHOULD SO WHY TAKE ACHANCE AT A REVENGE SHOT ENDING YOUR CAREER. I DON'T THIMK EITHER ONE WANTS TO GO OUT LIKE MIKE. LAYING ON THE TURF.
I THINK TIKI IS A VERY INTELLIGENT PERSON AND I WISH HIM LUCK IN HIS VENTURES. ANYONE WHO PLAYS A RUNNING BACK KNOWS WHEN HIS TIME IS UP. NUFF SAID

Plaxico is a jerk, and so is the author #15 "foxferrari." Buress was released by the Steelers for the exact same thing that he is accussing of TO! That guy has no heart and has "short armed" many passes in his career! Look at his numbers and you will see (well YOU probably won't)that Burress has done nothing to this point of his career! This isn't Jerry Rice making these comments, Stupid, it's Plexiglass Bur-ASS!

Well according to Joe Mama he has not seen who Plaxico has played for. He played for THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS behind Hines Ward. This was back in the time they had Jerome Bettis so i think you should throw that into factor that they ran the ball like 75% of the time. T.O is a joke he played for the San Francisco 49'ers even Plaxico could put up those huge numbers if he was thrown the ball that much. Also Plaxico plays along Amani Toomer so i think you need to throw in more factor than going with T.O. Or maybe you are just jumping on the T.O. bandwagon.

THE FUNNIEST PART: ESPN wont even report this, thats how newsworthy plaxico is, you'd figure with TO's name he would at least get some love, but ESPN recognizes foolishness.

Remember when Chris Carter called TO and JJ Stokes, mediocre, well he was wrong, and TO showed him how he was wrong. As one of the best receivers to play the game, Chris Carter has been outdone by the mediocre receiver.
Even though he was wrong, Chris Carter earned the right to call out and bash other players, cuz he was that good. Well my friends, Plaxico is no Chris Carter, and he is definitely no TO. This is just some starved supposed to be good receiver trying to make a name for himself, since he cant do it on the field, he waits for the opportune time to do it off the field.
