For his Weekly Conversation at ESPN.com, Graham Bensinger sat down with Steelers linebacker Joey Porter. And say what you want about Joey Porter, but Joey Porter interviews never, ever seem to lack for entertainment value. Bensinger: How would you describe your "bust down game"?...because you'll never know when you have to spontaneously bust down. I'll confess, it doesn't happen to me that often, and when it does, I've usually had some hints about it beforehand. Rarely is my busting down spontaneous, but then again ... I don't roll with Joey Porter's crew.
Porter: [laughs] Oh, no ... people have been talking to you too much. [laughs]
Bensinger: What exactly is it?
Porter: It's when you peel ... You're busting down. You're taking your shirt off.
Bensinger: And you want to look good just on the off chance you have to suddenly take your shirt off.
Porter: In case you got to bust down! So we stay in the weight room. All my guys work out now just in case we're somewhere and have to bust down. You don't want to bust down and not look right. You can't go to certain swim functions. You can't be on South Beach in Miami. The goal is to be right.
There's also a note in there about how Joey Porter plays dominoes, he teaches other Steelers how to play dominoes, and he has some sort of license for teaching people how to play dominoes. He also describes his dominoes game as "legendary," even when drunk.
Strong dominoes game, and a strong bust down game. The man has no weaknesses.

We love Joey Porter. Just a typical Steeler Linebacker in the mold of Lambert, Hamm, Lloyd, and a few others. Colorful, tough and physical. We miss him on the field. Get healthy Joey.
Sincerely,
Jan Vincent

Hes going to the hall of fame after he calls it quits , count on it . What team would want this guy . He's one of the best linebackers in the AFC . The steelers are lucky to have him.

Joey has definetely stepped up his game to legendary levels. He is the focal point of the Steelers defense.
He can play all the Dominoes he wants, but not in the hill district.

Come on people. Porter has one or two good games a year. This year, one, and that was against a very weak Dolphins team. Let's show a little objectivity. To compare him to Ham, Lambert and Lloyd is just crazy. If his play matched the way he runs his mouth, then yes, you could compare them. I never got to see Ham or Lambert play, but when Lloyd would play, he would take over games. The only Steeler who comes close to that leve now is Polamalu. Porter seems more of an opportunist. He never seems to blow by offensive lineman. To say he is a hall of fame lock is completely ludicrous. He won't even sniff a hall of fame ballot. For the Bengals fans...amazing how one winning season in the past decade and a half makes them talk a good game.

Joey, shut up and help your team win a ball game. Lambert didn't have to act like an idiot and trash talk to have other teams respect and fear him. You are not in his league and never will be. Do your talking and acting up after you can defend the title first.

As a life long Steelers fan, I can assure you that Jack Lambert did not have to act and talk like a kid from an inner city high school. I would suggest that he help his defense that is being scored on at will and can't stop teams on 3rd down. Joey, win some games, defend the title, then you can talk all the jib jab juvenile crap you want. Go Steelers.

I am a huge steelers fan, but I strongly believe Joey Porter is a bad football player. He can't get off blocks, can't tackle very well. And he gets the majority of his sacks when he is unblocked against BAD teams. This doesn't sound like the scariest players in the league. This seasons he has gone up against a rookie left tackle and a backup left tackle and had a combined 4 tackles or something in those games. Thats bad.
