YouTube also provides us with the clip of Brian Westbrook's beastly run after the catch, going 51 yards for the score to put the Eagles ahead for 30 seconds. That is until Matt Bryant kicked a 62 yarder to beat the Eagles.
I will defend McNabb as being one of the most well trained players in the NFL. His off season work out regimen in Arizona is well documented. You can blame him for throwing 2 horrible INTs you want, but don't use this little episode of blowing chunks as your fodder against McNabb.
Eagles.com has video (real player) of McNabb talking after the game. He downplays the puking incident as him trying to catch his breath and being dehydrated.

Thank god the NFL has McNabb. Is there anyone playing today that has so much negitive B Sh.....T ink. Everytime you turn around it's bad ink. I'm a new England fan and the sun rises and falls with Brady. But I think McNabb is one hell of a real good ( no great ) Quarterback.
McNabb is over rated and regardless what team Philadelphia is playing the announcers have nothing but Great things to say about McNabb. You would think no one else is on the team or in the games. At times it is so nice the remote has a Mute button to shut off their glorious remarks about McNabb.
i want to see any one of you arm cahir fat butted quaterbacks and go out ther ein 104 degree heat and run like donavan mcnabb did on sunday and see if by the time you get 15 yards down the field you don't either pass out or puke your heads off. remeber it was 104 on the field plus the humidity and wearing 30 lbs of equipment on IN OTHER WORDS GET OFF HIS BACK FOR PUKING YOU SORRY BUTTS
The Eagles lost, but the facts are there arent many men who can endure a 105 degree tempretures. This is a GREAT Team and led by a GREAT quaterback. Cant wait to see the next time the Bucs come to Philly when it is 20 degrees with snow and play.
At a minimum, Donovan shows a substantial amount of heart and love for the game which is VERY rare in the Professional sports these days. May have his share of errant passes, but he can still scamper with the best of em.To gather his composure that quickly after puking is just testament to his desire to win. If anyone sees him puking in those conditions as negative, you have prob never played sports.
i am a falcon fan. but donovan is a real soldier anyother player would have been in locker room getting and IV but he wanted to win -I admire that
DONOVAN is one hell of a quaterback, He isn't one to fall down and cry and be taken out of the game, He plays hurt! Others cry the blues of pitty me!!! NOT MCNABB!
Don't think because he has to puke in one game doesn't mean he is any different then anyone else. He plays hard every game and gives it 110%! IF YOU CAN DO BETTER LETS SEE IT!
McNabb and the Eagles are not very intelligent. More than once they have gotten down deep inside opponents 20 yerd line at the end of a half and come up with 0 points because of POOR time management. They keep telling their fans this was a learning experience - well when the hell are they going to LEARN it?
Well, I will agree that Donovan is a good Qb... I would question his conditioning... This isn't the first time he's puked during a game (kind of sick we know this tho isn't it), and there weren't any other shots of players blowing chunks ie wide receivers who are basically doung wind sprints every play. And what's w/ all the yelling here? Oh Eagles fans.... figured
Donovan is a good quaterback but it is obvious Andy Reid is not a good coach.
Fox should get rid of the sports announcer Brad who's in love with Donavan. I thought they were suppose to be unbiased! He gave no credit to the Bucs kicker!
In my book, Fox's Brad Sham has now somehow managed to get to as low a broadcasting level as Tim McCarver. I'm a die-hard Eagles fan, but even I was getting sick of how biased he was. Every time the ball got to Westbrook, he'd say "Uh-ohh, Westbrook with the ball"... EVERY TIME! He's got to be the worst football announcer on television. He consistently called several different receivers Reggie Brown (even though we only have one WR wearing #86...) and should probably get his laser surgery because of the number of times he confuses Tapeh with Westbrook (#'s 38 and 36, must be hard to see the difference!)
All of you people out there that want to bash the Eagles good luck with that. They have the number one offense in the NFL. If you look at the leader boards Mcnabb is tops in just about every catagory. As far as his conditioning goes I guess you missed it when they said that he goes to the desert in AZ during the off season to train. They have had numerous injuries to there team and are still number one in there division. As far as the wide receivers doing wind sprints all day, Mcnabb had more rushing yards(76) then any wide receiver hell he had more yards then anyone on Tampa Bay except C. Williams. The Eagles are a great team who are having a rough time. What it comes down to is yesterday they beat themselves Tampa didn't. Besides who in a million years would have thought that kicker would ever kick the ball that far before yesterday his longest one was 28 yards.
I think Mcnabb is a real good and generally clutch QB, but the media does not give much coverage to his 2 interceptions for TD's blowing the game! When was the las ttime in NFL history that a team one with 23 points and 120 yrards on offense?
while mcnabb is a good quarterback not a great one.eagles been losing lately and i love it!they always seem to have a punk street gang mentality and im glad to see it is not being rewarded.and i dont have to try and make the philly fans look bad they do that all by themselves.mcnabb however is a class act and for his own sake i would like to see him move on to another city and team where he may become a great player.and of course i will now wait for the no class replys from the philly fans, its so predictable that its become somewhat funny.no superbowl win for them punks again hehehe wahhhhh philly
i love the eagles but my blood pressure can not take much more of this, mcnabb getting sick was some what like the icing on the cake.
Donovan is an excellent quaterback...absolutely, but you have to wonder if it is better to keep him when he isn't feeling well. He obviously played like something was wrong throughout the game. Are we so afraid of going to the second string to give him a break?
I am an Eagles fan since the 50's so that you know that I watched and died with them thru many coaches and quaterbacks. Sonny Jurgenson etcetc. I am losing my strong feelings for them and do not bleed as much as I did over the years. BUT when are we ever going to get a coach who knows how to handle the hurry up offense and win some games at the end instead of wasting time and losing games. He always says he is learnng. WHEN IS HE GOING To KNOW HOW TO DO IT. Also when are we going to have a quaterback who knows what to do and not be told every play by the coach. DUH.How many games have we lost this year because of stupid decisions by the coach and quaterback????
I am glad to see some intelligence in the postings here about the Eagles but come on people, take an English class and learn to spell. So what?! He puked! Get over it and enjoy watching football instead of downing McNabb for having one bad moment during the game. You all never puked? Got sick? What a joke.
I agree with the comments by Enrique about Brad Sham, he sucks. I'm a Cowboys fan and the idiot does the Cowboys play by play on radio. Mcnabb is good but Brad Sham went completely overboard when talking about him.
