Week 6 NFL Power Rankings: The Mike Tysons, 1-8

1.
Chicago		 6-0 The Bears are who we thought they were. That's why we took the damn field. Now, if you wanna crown 'em, then crown their ass. But they are who we thought they were. Sorry... I heard that somewhere. And no, Dennis Green, I don't want to crown them, but I'm not sure there's a better alternative at the moment. I'll spare you the talk about how good teams sometimes find a way to win games they should lose. Sometimes, good teams get lucky as hell to play their worst game against a team that seems to be built for the sole purpose of collapsing. By the way, are any of you Bears fans still feeling ultra confident in Rex Grossman?
2.
Indianapolis		 5-0 You might argue that the Bears squeaker against a 1-5 team might be enough to move them down and move the Colts into the top spot. And you might be right, but I'd still like to see them stop someone's running game first.
3.
San Diego		 4-1 For all the talk of "Martyball" and ultraconservative play, the Chargers actually have a fairly aggressive passing game. The actual number of passes they throw might not be that high, but they trust Phil Rivers to make throws that a lot of coaches are afraid to trust their quarterback with.
4.
Seattle		 4-1 As opposed to the Bears win over Arizona, the Seahawks win over the Rams fits much more snugly into the category of "Good Teams Find a Way to Win" games. There was no doubt in my mind that when Hasselbeck got the ball back at the end of the game that the Seahawks were going to score. They'd been there before. The Rams hadn't. For the purposes of breaking into the Top 3, however, I'd still like to see a running game from them.
5.
New Orleans		 5-1 This feels like a team that likes each other, trusts each other, and will go out every Sunday and play with heart and passion. The Saints, like the Rams and Cardinals, were in a position to melt down and give away a big lead on Sunday, and they're the only one of the three that found their coconuts when they needed them the most.
6.
Philadelphia		 4-2 That said, though, I think if the Saints and Eagles meet again sometime down the line, the Eagles will probably find a way to win.
7.
New England 		4-1 They may not actually be the 7th-best team in the NFL right now, but they're quietly sitting at 4-1, they play in the worst division and football, and they're probably not going to lose very often. And last time I checked, they still had Tom Brady ... and quite frankly, that's all you need.
8.
Pittsburgh		 2-3 I know they're under .500. I know they have a lot of issues. But if they keep playing anywhere near the level they did when they massacred the Chiefs, then the 8-spot is way too low. They did anything they wanted against the Chiefs. If they wanted to throw, they threw. If they wanted to run, they ran. If Bill Cowher wanted Herm Edwards to cook him breakfast in bed, he had banana nut pancakes with a side of sausage links.
