Grossman named the NFC's Offensive Player of the Month

Having lead his team to it's first 3-0 start in a long time, Bears QB Rex Grossman was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.

Improving to 7-3 as a starter after missing most of the last two years with serious injuries Grossman has revived what used to be an anemic offense. The former University of Florida star is second in QB Rating, tied for third in touchdown passes with 6, and leads the league with an 8.8 yards per attempt.

The biggest stat the fans and Grossman care about is three wins to zero losses. To me this shows just how resilient our young quarterback is, to overcome all of those injuries, doubts, and his own mental mistakes is key. It really shows the character and poise he has. Something that has been desperately missing in a Bear QB since the days of Jim McMahon.

"I think that's pretty much a team award when your quarterback wins something like that. A lot of guys have been playing well and have stepped it up", said OC Ron Turner.

Rex Grossman is the first Chicago Bears player since Neal Anderson in 1989 to win the NFC Offensive Player of the Month.

"He's been working hard,". "I'm happy to see that his hard work has paid off and I just hope that he continues his success." Said Mushin Muhammad.

Keep it up Rex!
