After a miraculous comeback last week against the Eagles, the Giants spotted the Seahawks a 35-point lead on Sunday before deciding to try to keep things respectable. While they weren't scoring New York was able to rack up 14 penalties and turn the ball over four times (including three Eli Manning interceptions). Things were so bad that the Giants scored 28 unanswered fourth quarter points ... and still lost.Needless to say, it wasn't a very happy New York locker room after the game:
"A team that does nothing but preach and talk about turnovers, we turn it over like nothing matters, nothing counts," [head coach Tom] Coughlin said. "It cost us the game."Wrong answer. At least if you're Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey:
"We got outplayed, and outcoached. Write that down," the volatile tight end said after he was told of Coughlin's frustrated outburst. When asked what he meant by "outcoached" Shockey said, "You saw the game."It must be a "U" thing. Last week it was the Browns' Kellen Winslow popping off and now it's the guy who once dated Mark Gastineau's daughter. All that's left is for former University of Miami tight end Bubba Franks to haul off and deck Brett Favre for one too many medicine balls.
I'm glad to see Shockey is finally coming out of his shell. I'm sure Tom Coughlin's psyched too.

Shockey needs to shut his mouth and play to his potential.

Don't you know it's the Coaches responsibility to get the players ready to play. When teams don't play well, it's always the Coaches fault. GO SHOCKY!

Shockey is a whining baby.Seattle physically handed the Giants their rear end to them. The coach can't go out on the field and block and tackle for them. This game was over at half time.

Shockey is dead on. On the first series of the second half, Coughlin called two runs into the middle of the line that netted no yards. He is a typical run-run-pass Giants coach without a whiff of creativity or gumption - until it is too late. Their no huddle offense worked wonders - but Coughlin waited until the game was out of reach before he went to it. As a team, the Giants are underachievers because they are undercoached. Don't kill the messenger - Shockey has soul. TO and Keyshawn were disruptive influences in the locker room; Shockey is not. He's the only one to call it as it is. He may get dumped for doing it, but he is absolutely right.

Ha,Ha,I've been a Giants fan since the old Polo grounds.Saw Title,Gifford,Simms and L.T.This Giants team is pathetic.R.W.McQuarters was cramp with the niners way back when. There corners stink.!!!!The offensive schemes, will only work if they have the lead in scoring in the beginnings of the game. They have no pass rush, and are not utilizing Arrington right at all.Why do you think Washington gave him up.???Lost of toubles in BIG BLUE land.

In the great days of sports, we won and lost together. Players like Shockey are bad for our young children watching the game and equally bad for his fellow team mates. Shockey should simply retire from professional sports like many others like him that project only poor images to our children.

Anyone who defends Shockey's words doesn't want the Giants to succeed. You do NOT criticize your coach in public. I don't care what you say to him in private, but you do NOT say it in public. What a way to rip apart the team because he was petty. He was just mad they didn't throw to him on the two point conversion. What a whiner. He's definitely taking a play out of T.O.'s book. And everyone knows what happened to T.O.
